January 2017 to now. Somewhere between 35-40# gone (hey it fluctuates) and I’ve kept it off for 6+ months now. Had to safety pin the dress in the back so it didn’t look like a moo moo. I’m crazy amounts stronger. A whole lot happier. Tonight I celebrated my 35th trip around the sun with incredible sushi with my best friend. Family, friends, dogs, fitness, and food. Life in a nutshell. And work. Eventually lol.
I dont think i have ever posted one of these before, and its kind of embarrassing. But here it goes.
This is a total of 32 lbs lost and I dont see much of a difference other than the fact that I fit in the mirror better 😂
I take progress pictures for myself all the time, but I dont ever share them.
This last week I have eaten out so much bc of my birthday and another birthday in my house so I was feeling a bit discouraged. But like I say all the time, this isnt a diet its a lifestyle change. Of course im gonna eat out sometimes. But that doesnt mean I should give up.
So here is to being 23, working on myself in more ways than one, and to this being my best year yet. 👏👍 #progresspics #weightloss #notadietbutalifestyle #followmyjourney2018 #birthday #dontbelievemejustwatch #gottakeeponkeepinon #cantstopwontstop
💕Let’s pretend you took a before picture right now. #rightmeow
And cried, maybe deleting it or sharing it while saying awful things you think about yourself (yep🙋♀️ it’s how we ALL handle it)
It’s your low. The point where you know it’s time to trade excuses for HAPPINESS.
When I kept track of how much we were spending on fast food & eating out, there was NO denying that we could afford a way to my own happiness. One single dinner could wipe out $50 from our checking account, easily. Add that to how many hours it takes to earn it, makes for a shitty reality.
Hundreds of 30 minute workouts trumped not having “time”. It would take me longer to find a babysitter so I could make good on a gym membership.
Watching other people succeed, making up lame-ass reasons to judge their happy...while I sat back not having any of my own; You will get sick of being that way eventually. Envy has always looked ugly on me anyway.
Beautiful girl, Sometimes life is about risking everything for a dream no one can see but YOU. Let’s get you there too💕
4 days a week, 30 minutes a day. #linkinbio
to join us for July! It’s never too late to jump in.
Chinese Fakeaway sometimes nothing else will do but some serious carbs. Having been mostly on the Extra Easy SP plan for the last 3 weeks I have been missing all things carb so tonight we went all in - crispy rice, chow mein, spring rolls and salt n pepper chicken. It was delicious and exactly what was needed to keep me on track. #fakeaway #slimmingworld #slimmingworlduk #sw #notadietbutalifestyle #extraeasy
✨Change your mind.. change your life✨ Yesterday during cardio I literally thought to myself “I am dying” but I caught it... that simple thought was either going to make me stop or keep me going. So I switched it. 👉🏽 Instead I thought “this is heaven” why did I choose the word heaven? 😇 Because when I am sweating my ass off, when I feel like quitting but I keep going, when I inspire people to KEEP GOING.... that IS heaven to me. ✨
ONE simple thought took me to the end of my cardio session. One simple thought took my body to limits my mind didn’t think existed. So today, what thoughts are you going to change? Because your mind will take you places your body would never go alone. If you don’t know where to start, try these..👇🏽
🌤“I hate getting up early” 👉🏽 “thank god I get the chance to open my eyes today” 💪🏽“I do not want to workout” 👉🏽 “I am so thankful for a body that moves” 👩🏽🌾“Work is the last place I want to be” 👉🏽 “I’m thankful I have a job that puts food on the table”
What thoughts are you changing today?
Sometimes it feels like I have taken too many steps back. Like I have no way of gaining back what I have accomplished. But I have learned things about myself on this journey that has changed me for life. It has shown me that I can rebuild anything that I have worked for. Back at it.
Eating healthy is a lifestyle not a starvation diet! You can eat good, feel full, satisfied and have a ton of energy. And it is easier than you think. I am here to help coach you every step of the way!
The truth about nuts! They are great plant based nutrient dense foods but in small quantities, make sure to grab a serving size and don’t just sit down with the bag. You can really rack up the calories with these delicious bad boys!
Almonds are a source of vitamin E, copper, magnesium, and high-quality protein; they also contain high levels of healthy unsaturated fatty acids along with high levels of bioactive molecules (such as fiber, phytosterols, vitamins, other minerals, and antioxidants), which may help prevent cardiovascular disease.
I love a chickpea! Anyone who knows me knows my biggest weakness is snacking. I LOVE crisps 💛 but during the week I try to eat clean the majority of the time, and these crunchy, salty herby chickpeas are my go to! I bake them up at the beginning of the week and reach for them when the salty/ savoury cravings kick in! I read a tip somewhere to take the shells off - (It really wasn’t as annoying as I thought- it was actually quite therapeutic 🤷🏼♀️) - and THIS was a game changer in terms of crunchiness! 🙌🏼 Drain a can of chickpeas, dry AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, very light drizzle of olive oil, bang them in the oven for 30-40mins until crunchy! Season with salt, pepper, herbs, spices whatever you like! #healthyeating
