Purposely woke up earlier for the laksa, too bad, the guy at the next table took the last bowl 😤. This is one of the older and popular coffee shop in Sibu where you can find most of the local foods. People are generally here for breakfast and also here for the rank no.1 Sibu laksa. I have not tried the Aloha Laksa for many years, heard that the standard has dropped, I’m not sure since I didn’t have the luck. We tried to order some other foods and they turned up to be quite terrible 😖...
Pic 1 - Bian Nv (in foochow), Bian sid (in Hokkien), 扁肉 (direct translated into Chinese 😂). 4/10
Pic 2 - Kampua (Sarawak handmade hometown noodle, please note that this is NOT Kolomee), it’s 干盘面 (in Chinese). This was a horrific plate of Kampua. The noodle was soggy. I ordered White + Chili but the Black came instead, the dark sauce was too mild or too little (alang-alang in foochow 😆). 2/10
Pic 3 & 4 - Kway Teow wrapped in Eggs. This used to be our childhood favorite, was so much looking forward to try it again but it’s tasteless to me now! I’m not sure if it’s the same cook as the taste was completely different. 3/10
Pic 5 - Mixed pork liver soup, was far away from those very nice one but I’d say it’s the only dish that was edible on the table. 5/5
Pic 6 - Fried Chopped Kompia (Wok fried bread). Something fusion that I didn’t try before in life and i would never order again 😌 1/10
Pic 7 - it’s Me, happily taking all the pics before trying all the foods 🙄
