but never imagine it would be this soon .2018 has been horrible year. My life shattered into millions pieces right before my eyes, it has been hurricane roller coaster but you know what? I had to put my big girl panties on, to create my own sunshine. I wore that smile, just like the slay queen rocking fake Gucci.
Comrades was never about proving anything to anyone. It's about ME. It was about doing ME. The journey is about discovering YOU. It's about getting out of your comfort zone. And this race did exactly that for me. 🤣I cried my eyes out during the 11:50 I was on that road, I cried about all sorts of things that had nothing to do with the running it’s self, but being able to let go and look forward to new beginnings. When was the last time you gave yourself time for you? I mean REALLY gave yourself some time?
Was it this evening when you went to the gym? Yesterday when you went shopping? Last week when you cooked yourself some food for the week? All can be great activities for a bit of therapy in one way or another but none are really relaxing are they? •
How long has it been since you (if ever) set aside an hour or two in your diary for *insert your name here*? It’s all well and good to know you have an appointment made, or time set aside for you to complete a task - but for me personally, nothing is more relaxing than knowing I have those 2 hours set aside for destination nowhere. If you think about the idea of relaxation - the state of being free from tension and anxiety - it seems a little hard to achieve that state when you have a set task to complete or appointment to make.
Knowing I have a certain amount of time set aside; for nothing needing to be achieved, seems to free my mind from having that feeling of “I need to do this/I need to get here/I need to finish that”.
We all need to remember that while we all love kicking our goals, and seizing the shit out of our day. It’s equally as important to take some time for ourselves, so as to not burn ourselves out.
We have a specific blend made specifically to help people kick anxiety’s ass. I personally find it extremely helpful in helping me relax after a day of work/play. Throw in a low intensity activity; reading, writing, drawing, movie etc and I’m officially unwound for the day.

People like hypes.
We all know that hypes are BullShit.
They are invented by money hungry individuals who don't care about you or your health.
Here's a hype: Skinny Fat!
I beg your pardon? Sorry, I have to replace a fuse. Something short circuited in my brain.
Can water be dry wet?
Some guru or positive BS thinker probably thought that it was too much to call people fat. And made it sound(!) better?
Newsflash! If you're skinny you're skinny, if you're fat you're fat. Leaving the skinny part out that leaves that you're fat and if that is a problem for your tender ego then you should do something smart(!) about it. Oh? You're not smart either? Well, sometimes life simply sucks.
No, endless cardio and a diet are not the answer. I know there are some of you who did it and where succesfull. And that's great.
But honestly did you look good naked after you reached your goal? Honestly? Probably not.
By far weight training(at first combined with a good diet) is the best way to lose weight, improve your shape, make you stronger, improve your bodily energy systems, correct your posture, makes you sleep better, makes you look good naked, etc. And the best part is that at some point you can stop or relax your diet.
We all hate to be on a diet. We all like to eat whatever we want. This entitlement or indulging has become a healththreat to a lot of people. Most adults are like big children. Give them an ice-cream or a burger and they will ask for another one.
This doesn't stop with ice-cream and burgers. We cannot control our urges, because we are still in our infancy when it comes to food.
So exercise it is.
Once you start exercising and notice small improvements (visible or not visible) you want to do more, hence enters the diet. Now things will start to speed up. And your skinny fatness (🙃😳🤥) will start to disappear.
Stop hyping yourself or the state you're in. Start accepting what you are and do something about it💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾. Train, Be sore, Recover, Repeat.
