This weekend I completed the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion DLC. Pushing for that 100% was infuriating, but you feel pretty good after it's all done! .
I don't normally like DLC, however, it's not like Splatoon 2 was half a game and they released the rest of it later. This is the type of DLC that I will actually support. I think it was well worth the money. Hasn't everyone wanted to play as an Octoling since we were introduced to them in the first game?! Although the solo missions have never been the highlight of Splatoon, the Octo expansion makes it worth it by providing exclusive gear to use, along with the ability to play as an Octoling online. Each mission is relatively short, which is good, because it was unlikely I'd beat them all the first try, and when I did beat one with the first go, I got this huge ego boost like "Yeah, I'm THAT awesome! 😎" I never thought it's because that happened to be an easy one, although it probably was. 🤣 It didn't happen often though, most took multiple tries and involved A LOT of swearing on my part. (Live streaming would have been fun 🤔). There are 80 missions not counting a few extras/boss battles, so it kept me pretty busy these last couple of weeks. This marks game number 6 completed this year (yeah I'm counting it!).
One of my favorite collector items. A signed copy of Zelda: The Wind Waker for Nintendo GameCube from Mr Miyamoto. The creator of Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda etc. I met him when i was attending E3 expo in Los Angeles, may 2003.
