I was blessed as a young girl to travel often.
I remember so vividly the moments I dipped my toes in the ocean.
I remember the feeling of the sand between my toes as I walked the beach searching for the perfect seashells.
I remember the way the salty humid air felt around me.
I remember all of those moments and I cherished every second.
When Cam and I moved to New Brunswick, the first thing I wanted to do was see the ocean.. so that’s what we did.
I was so excited as we drove to the coast. I was even more excited once I finally had my toes in the sand and the ocean in front of me.
In that moment, I knew I was home.
My small world felt like it had come full circle.
All the pain, the suffering, the roller coaster that was my life - lead me to that perfect moment on the ocean, with the man of my dreams.
2 years later as we stand on that same ocean floor, more in love than we were then... I am forever grateful for all of the moments (good and bad) that lead me to this place, with this incredible man, living this beautiful life that I get to call ours!
At these times,
the things that troubled her
seemed far away and unimportant:
all that mattered
was the hum of the bees
and the chirp of birdsong,
the way the sun gleamed
on the edge of a blue wildflower...
Happy Friday! I love it when we are able to make real connections on Social Media!... so can you do me a favour? Can you let me know how we met? Choose one of the following: A. Instagram; B. We met in real life; C. You’re a client; or D. You will one day become a client. Let me know in the comments below! I’d love to connect even more!
There are a lot of reasons why entrepreneurship is the life for me, but this is definitely one of them: working from the cottage for the day and having the ability to put the MacBook down on a Friday afternoon when it’s the perfect beach day to float and dream in the ocean 🌊
Does it mean I’m “unavailable” to clients? No. In fact, I still put in a lot of hours this morning and I excitedly took an impromptu client call AND when I washed ashore, gave another client a quick check in call to make sure they were feeling awesome about an award entry.
Does it mean I’m done for the day? Pfft. We’re taking about me here. I’m definitely going to head back to the city, submit two award nominations, grab picnic items for @dandaccountant
+ I’s day trip tomorrow AND get ready for the @marcheshediacmarket
on Sunday, because you can be sure I won’t want to do that tomorrow night when we get back from a full day in Fundy 🐳
But what it does mean, is that without taking a vacation day or a “sick day” - I’m spending time with family, enjoying our summer weather (because, oh man is it precious) and yes, I’m swapping work for floating in the ocean, just for a little bit 🧜🏻♀️

Not all classrooms have four walls...
The Bay of Fundy, where we call home, has the highest tides in the world. In a six hour span, tides rise to reach a peak of around 16 m (50′) — the height of a 5-storey building! The rocks pictured above were under water in half an hour...the girls are amazed,
...everytime. Here, you can go into a harbor and see boats sitting on the ocean floor at the dock....6 hours later they are afloat at dock level. This also means you can explore the same beach and it never really looks the same...sometimes there are huge impressive waves to play in, other times there are miles and miles of tidepools and sandbars to run on. Nature's Playground! What fun facts can you share from where you call home? .

Happy Friday!!! I thought I'd take the chance on this #FridayIntroductions
day to introduce myself. My name is Kaitie and I'm the cofounder of Adoorable Designs. Here are 5 things that you wouldn't know about me by looking at our feed. Here we goooooo!
I'm scared to death of lightning-I got it from my Momma
I love to travel and hope to get a chance to get back overseas to further explore the Mediterranean (it was our honeymoon destination!)
A cold glass of Pinot Grigio is my drink of choice
I love to spoil my dog Rhea (She's our unofficial shop mascot and is often sitting at our feet as we paint) and my cat Gus.
In only a few short months I'm going to become a mother to a baby boy. I'm so excited(and nervous as heck!) to start the new adventure of motherhood. 👨👩👦 Hope you've had a great week and that you have a weekend full of sunshine and time with friends & family 💕
