One of the more incredible things I've seen on this trip! The tallest stalagmite is 38 metres, making it the 2nd tallest in the world open to visitors. Considering they form at a rate of 1cm every 100 years, that makes it 380,000 years old!
‘on end of’
new treasured memories made
mosquito bites aplenty
some extra body’s relative mass
made up of yearly ration of

The amazing Cuevas del Drach in Mallorca!
Stalagmites and stalactites illuminated with colorful lightwork and a huge underground lake.
Whilst the world above is a whirlwind of noise, change and movement, down here the world stood still and was silent for centuries. Until we discovered it 😅
The silence only broken by the sound of the water drops creating these magnificent sculptures.
A must see if you ever visit the island!

Little one will be here in a few weeks and we can’t wait!
Walking around a park I was observing how intricate trees can become over the years.
It struck me that the older they are the more beautiful they become.
In a way I feel that is also true of humans. When the human ageing process is free of disease it produces it’s own beauty and wisdom.
The other thing that struck me about trees is that they will find every way to survive.
If you look closely the tree in the photograph fell leaving half of its roots exposed (bottom right). However, it found a way to survive.
Perseverance and the will to survive is an intrinsic part of every human too. And whilst perseverance may be moderated by our circumstances, so we all have it but to a higher or lesser degree, the survival instinct is innate in us all.
Your body will always fight for survival as long as it has the resources to do it.

We had a great time at the Cincinnati Children’s Museum today. Michael and Wesley were amazed at seeing the turtles close up! 🐢#natureswonders #summervacation
