"Power Yoga of Cape Cod is teaming up with yoga studios from all over the Cape to raise funds and awareness for RecoveryBUILD, a Cape Cod-based alternative peer group. RecoveryBuild is a program combining fun social activities with the support of licensed therapists for adolescents and teens with substance use challenges. On June 23rd (tomorrow) from 11:30-1:30, there will be a yoga class taught by Jill, Stephanie, Leigh and Susannah held at The Monomoy Regional High School in Harwich. a pose I haven’t quite gotten a grip on ( get it, grip? 😂😂). Anywho, ever since my pincha post and voicing my struggles with my open shoulders, I’ve gotten so much support and inspiration to practice getting my shoulders open, which translates perfectly into any pose with a flipped grip. But I’m alive, healthy, so I have all the time to practice! -
This challenge has been so fun, inspiring, and I’ve loved all the new connections I’ve made through this amazing insta yoga community, I love you all ❤️

I enjoyed this class, it was fast paced but I was able to keep up with her ques pretty well.

Birthday mood. UNSTOPPABLE!
Less than a year ago I was bullied😢...adults do it differently.... I always looked at myself as a hard worker, a team player and a woman of her word. I had a light and a fire that people enjoyed being around. Made them feel important and they did the same for me. People were drawn to me... ...in the last couple years, I feel like they were repelled by me. It was all about me and what I could earn, what position I needed and what I needed. When I think about that situation, I was a product of duplication.🤦♀️ I hated myself and the person I had become. They say you are most like the people you hang around. That could not be more true. I fell in the hole of how I could benefit, what position I was and not how I helped anyone else.
I had picked up bad habits from some I looked up to and had acquired their bad habits. I was a mess financially, emotionally and mentally. That overflowed into my physical wellbeing and I just couldn't live the facade anymore.
Those individuals have taught me the person I do not want to be in life. I do not want to put others down or take advantage for my own gain...to grow personally from others struggles.
I have decided to:
🌱 grow others 👉help simply be simple and not overcomplicate things. 😍To attract people and not repel them
🏡help people find shelter
When you help others, your life can flourish. ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE❤
You do not need to be bullied by people who are not helping you grow❗❗ I have plenty of LOVE to go around. Let me help you grow into YOU and not who society thinks you SHOULD be!

In yoga we practice ahimsa, non-violence. 🙏
In a literal sense, non-violence asks us to refrain from killing or causing physical harm to ourselves or another being. ~
However, non-violence has many subtle implications as well. When we feel hurried, afraid, powerless, out of balance, and harsh with ourselves, we may speak words of unkindness that don’t come from our best selfs.
As our awareness of these nuances grows, we learn that our ability to be non-violent to others is directly related to our ability to be non-violent within ourselves. It is our inner strength and character that determine our ability to be a person of peace at home and in the world.

I put someone on a pedestal long ago and when she fell, it broke my heart. I was so attached to the ideal of her and when her humanness appeared, I was completely thrown off guard. Through my ytt I honestly saw how I expected myself to pedestal up and perfect every detail of my yoga practice. My teachers were quick to tell us how dangerous pedestals can be. How deceiving they are and there isn't really anywhere to go once your stuck up there. I've only recently truly learned how beautiful it is to f*ck up, gather knowledge from the lesson and keep going. ❤🙏

Y si, parece yeso, pero no quita que lo que se vea fuera, no siempre es el reflejo de lo que sucede dentro
A veces, varía mucho la expresión y simplemente estás pensando en algo o estás concentrado.
Que se deje ya de decidir por uno mismo lo que sucede, cada uno es como es y no se debe de juzgar jamás un libro por su portada.
Que tú no veas algo no significa que no pueda suceder!

Tradicionalmente el Mala Budista se compone de 108 cuentas de diferentes materiales que unidas forman una especie de “collar” que se coloca ya sea en el cuello o en el brazo izquierdo.En el Budismo el número 108 tiene tambien varias representaciones. Se dice que existen 108 tipos de oscurecimientos mentales que impiden ver claramente o con la vista de un Buda, despierto o iluminado. Estas 108 kleshas (oscurecimientos o venenos) provienen a partir de la siguiente formula: Las tres formas de experiencia (positiva, negativa o neutra) multiplicada por los 6 sentidos (vista, oido, tacto, gusto, olfato y conciencia o mente) nos da un total de 18. Luego estos 18 por las dos formas de experimentar toda experiencia ya sea como apego o aversión nos da 36. Y estas multiplicadas por las tres formas de tiempo (presente, pasado y futuro) termina por darnos el número de 108. Cuando el ser es capaz de superar estas 108 kleshas entonces alcanzará el nirvana o la iluminación.
