The Badlands is so named because the park is notoriously difficult to traverse. Formed by sediment deposits and then carved out by river erosion the rocky terrain is a spartan challenge for hikers. 🌀🤘
The views are nevertheless glamorous and the park is a challenge worth celebrating. 🌄🎉

It’s been a nice and easy two-week break from the road. Time to pack the bags again and go see Mt Rainier soon.
When everything feels like an uphill struggle, just think of the view from the top.
Being the token guy on a ski trip isn’t so bad. The stoke is always high when you ski with #teamtutu
We did it! Summited Mount Rainier (14,410 feet). It was a truly incredible experience. Thanks for the photo @ricklavertyphotography
new rule. for every hour I spend reading the news I’m spending an hour out here.
Flying from Seattle to Boise made for an incredible view of Mount Rainier.🗻
Washington, thank you for a lovely visit. You’re an unbelievably beautiful and serene state and I can’t wait to come back. Until next time!
Someday I want my (future) kids to say: “Mom was a badass ... but what was she wearing?!?” 😂
Trained mountaineering and cervasse rescue skills on the lower slopes of Mount Rainier for the last 2 weekends. This is all in preparation for a summit attempt at the end of September 👊🏽 I was definitely the shortest, least experienced and brownest person on the team...and the only one from LA! It made for an intimidating but exhilarating experience and everyone was so generous with tips and patience. .
