Good Morning! The past two mornings and nights have been very chilly here. Like really, I think it was on the news. I’ve taken pics but I haven’t had a chance to post. I do love Instagram and miss it.
What I’ve been up to: I’m involved with two nonprofits, one is social work and the other is legal work. One is full time and the other is part time + lots of research for both = zero free days. The research and writing for my jobs was part of my degree requirements but otherwise the rest is not and I love it. .
It’s so interesting where you can go if you just take a chance and most of all believe in yourself. Nevertheless, this is just a step to something bigger for me. It’s a lot of work but I’m enjoying it. I’ll squeeze in Instagram as my creative outlet so, you haven’t lost me yet. I’m still here! ♥️
I’ve always liked being on the bleeding edge of technology. I started using digital when the cameras were sub-1 megapixel in size. I likewise started flying drones about 4 years ago and have been taking aerial pictures ever since. I have been amassing a large collection of images from around Hawaii and beyond and am ready to start sharing.
First up, the #Mokuluas
—more specifically, in #Lanikai
. These are the twin islands of Moku Nui and Moku Iki. These beautiful islands are part of the State Seabird Sanctuary, with Moku Ini being off off-limits to visitors and the interior of Moku Nui being kapu as well. How many of you have been to the islands before?

Is it really going to snow tomorrow? Tbt to warmer days kayaking through the waters of the Pacific Ocean to a bird sanctuary island 🐦. I say bring on the colder weather, we are ready for it!

The water is cold again. I felt it the other day. I love the feel of cold water on my skin and the hot sun combined. It means the waves are perfect in the North Shore, big in the West and maybe something in the East.
The world is loud you know, people make it so with all their rantings both verbally and technically. And that’s ok, that is society and it’s beautiful. But in the water there’s a break to that. There’s a constant hum of water and a light spray to the face. Maybe you’ll get glassy waves and green tubes or maybe not, it’s about the experience really. And all the while there are all these wild creatures all around you that are sometimes visible. It scares some but it just means that the ocean is healthy....
Cold water, hot sun, palm tree lined shore, and smiles for days. But, that is just one experience, mine. It’s one perspective, a collection of moments. Because living is made up of moments in the now, wherever they might be and whatever they might be. Joyous or not, that is living and that is so important to remember. Enjoy your moments, your now.
