Oh no, woke up this morning with a sore throat and have been going downhill. I’m doing all the recommended things like resting up, drinking more water, eating healthier... plus I’m doubling up on these little babies. 10 x fruits, 11 x vegetables + 6 x berries... what happens when I eat them? Increased micronutrients, increased vitamin C, decreased cold/flu symptoms, increased key antioxidants, reduced oxidative stress - sounds good to me 👍
ROASTED CINNAMON SWEET POTATO 🍠 - Something a lil sweet and a lil savoury that goes with anything 👌🏼 - Simply lightly coat cubed sweet potato in olive or coconut oil. Sprinkle over some cinnamon, sea salt and cracked pepper and roast in the oven until its crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. - For today’s lunch I added it to my salmon salad - mixed greens, roasted capsicum, cinnamon sweet potato, tinned salmon then drizzled with tahini dressing. - Don’t be afraid to get creative in the kitchen and experiment with different flavours and spices. You never know, you just might find yourself a new quirky combo that tastes delicious! 😋

No stejně do něj musíme, ale aspoň vynecháme regály s rádoby zeleninou 🔼až přijde kolaps nebo potravinová krize, umíme i něco více než dojet do krámu Já sám jsem děcko vychované na🏢 sídlišti, takže to byla výzva začít se učit rostliny a přehodit myšlení a návyky.

Meal prep Monday 💁🏽‍♀️ Busy working week ahead so I’m getting a head start this week. Breakfast is always made fresh since I work night shift and I have time in the morning. Snack 1 - Popcorn & some type of snack bar. Lunch - Tuna, boiled egg, basmati rice, 4 bean mix & bbq sauce. Snack 2 - Cheese & crackers and a pear. Dinner - Roasted Chicken thigh, red potato, pumpkin & zucchini. Pre Bed Snack - Yopro Yoghurt. 4 days worth cost me $40, breakfast will most likely be oats with frozen berries, protein powder and a coffee, all of which I already have at home. My meals come to 1550cal not including breakfast. Hi everyone! It's been an amazing weekend for a lot of reasons ^_^ I hope yours have been fantastic too! For now though, it's back to the hustle 😎 Starting with the Sunday night food prep sesh. Here we have: • 5 days of lunches for the week, rice and lentils w/sazon completa and oregano, to be combined with #wildplanet sardines for a filling, delicious, and nutritious meal. • 5 #micronutrients smoothies with frozen blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and baby broccoli sprouts for that #sulphorophane , as well as moringa, cacao powder, protein mix, mct oil, red reishi extract, and finished off with chocolate milk for consistency and flavor. • Tomorrow's super omelet, discussed in a previous post. • 20 days worth of the morning power coffee blend also discussed in said previous post. Prepped a bunch in advance to save time in the mornings. And finally • 1 rum and pomegranate, because all work and no play makes jack a dull boy 😎 While I'm not always consistent about meal prepping like this, it always makes the week much smoother and lets me avoid paying extra to eat the microwavable plastic they have at work during the week X/ This setup is also made with the specific intention of putting on some weight, and so is probably a bit higher in calories than most may find desireable (around 2800 between the omelet, coffee, lunch mix with sardines, and smoothie), but is loaded with the kind of goodies an active body will quite appreciate! Protein, Carbs & Fats. . These are the macronutrients (Macros) that everyone is always talking about. While these are the building blocks to any good diet and generally very important, we cannot forget what our moms told us at the dinner table. . “EAT YOUR VEGGIES.”. . Vegetables are where we get most of our micronutrients (micros). These are the little nails and screws that help put our “building blocks” together. Without our micros, our body can actually have a tough time utilizing the macros that we eat. . Be sure that you are getting the proper amount as well, it can often be much more than we assume. The recommended amount for Americans is usually between 2.5 to 6.5 cups of veggies depending on the person. . As always, there are supplements that can help make sure we are getting the necessary micros. Multivitamins supply us directly with those basic vitamins and minerals that are found in vegetables. Greens products will be much more similar to raw veggies, but more condensed. A more ideal diet here at TRIAD usually consists of at least 2 of the 3 options. . This mayyyy just be my biggest pet peeve… ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉🏻Why is it *not* the norm to treat your body the best way you can by fueling it with what it WANTS and NEEDS?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👉🏻Why is it the norm for others to question why people are eating healthy, thinking they must be on some sort of restrictive diet or something?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨Sure I get off track sometimes {a good amount of time} but for about 80% of the time I show myself some self-love & treat it right💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨I’ve gotten SO many comments over the years like: “oh, she’s on a diet” or “of course you’re eating that” or “why would you want to restrict yourself from all the good foods” & I actually used to choose worse options just to avoid this🤦🏼‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨If you ever feel like this, I’m here to tell you to NOT let those people make you feel weird or awkward for doing what will not only make you feel good *right now* but it also going to benefit you *years* from now💪🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✨Side note: I’m able to eat the right thing most of the time because it tastes amazing to me. If it didn’t I wouldn’t eat it. OH & I’m not into restricting myself. ❗️Grocery Talk ❗️What are some of your essentials for a weekly grocery haul? I myself stock up every week on fruits (apples and bananas) 🍏 🍌 and a lot of veggies too (green peppers, zucchini, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, etc.) 🥦 🥕 Throughout the week this is what I eat; fruits and veggies paired with lean protein sources such as egg whites (whole eggs occasionally), chicken breast and tuna sometimes as well. It’s all about consistency guys, if I eat like this for days and weeks at a time then a day or two of “cheating” is not going to hurt me. Did just one workout get anyone in shape? Nope. Does one meal or even one day of indulging cause someone to become obese? Absolutely not.
