It took over a minute for 141 women to fill the stage to accept the Arthur Ashe Courage Award while the audience gave them a standing ovation. “Make no mistake, we’re here on this stage to present an image for the world to see. A portrait of survival,” said Sarah Klein, Nassar’s first known victim. He is now serving an effective life sentence in prison for abusing hundreds of young female athletes under the guise of medical treatment. (📷: Getty)

The natural world knows how to just be what it is. When something happens to disturb it, it finds a way around or through things. It just keeps going. This waterfall flows from its source and finds its way back to meet itself. It may encounter rocks and felled trees along the way but it manages to keep going. .
Healing is much like this. We find bumps in the road that seem like setbacks. We then have to readjust ourselves to keep moving forward. The point is that we keep at it. We don’t give up on ourselves. If the water gave up on its flow because rocks were in the way, scenes like this would not exist. .
There is beauty everywhere. One must only look to see what is around us and within us. Enter the flow of your own healing process and find a way to continue. There’s always a path waiting just for you. www.meghaworth.com

☝🏽Life happens unexpectedly, and we grow. It has been 12 years since, and through this article published today I hope to educate and protect the innocent. 🙏🏽 Full article linked in my bio.
It's that time again and I have to give a big shout out to amazing staff at #ChoicesCenterforReproductiveHealth
in Memphis, TN.
As a individual who is #recovering
that almost compromised many aspects of my very own #individuality
it has been a tough road, but each day it gets easier with each accomplishment on the pathway to rebuilding life.
Like many #transwomen
out there I have my own set of unique needs where Health Care is concerned and like many access to care is a huge roadblock when you are left with next to nothing.
Today Choices helped to alleviate many of the #fears
that I've been having where this aspect of my life is concerned. After consultation regarding my situation they were able to help and assist me with finding the proper funding to keep me where I need to be with my health care. For that I am grateful and relieved.

A picture of courage. 💛 On stage are the 141 survivors who spoke out about the abuses they endured by their team doctor. They persisted – and finally – someone listened and believed them. They accepted the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at last night's #ESPYs
. A powerful moment for us all. (Quote: @espn

🌱 In an effort to increase accessibility they’ve brought the healing and its supplementary tools to the people who need it all in one spot. This event is aiming to be a safer space and so obviously all humans from all paths are welcome! If you’d like to be added to the guest list early please DM @og_hotmess
Someone on Pinterest literally said that they hope I get raped! What the fuck?! What the actual fuck is wrong with this world?! #feminist #feminism #metoomovement
I survived my first National Convention Presentation!!! What an honor it was to share my heart with some amazing collegians that their darkness isn’t something to be ashamed of! Anxiety and depression are normal, and with continued Alpha Sigma Alpha magic in our lives “adulting” is so much easier surrounded by authentically confident woman who say ME TOO and lock arms!!! 🐞🐞🐞⭐️⭐️⭐️🌴🌴🌴👑👑👑 #alphasigmaalpha #rise2018 #empoweringwomen #lovelife #joyouslylive #metoomovement
Seriously, just DON'T DEFEND POTENTIAL RAPISTS AND SAY THE GIRLS ARE LYING. Just don't do it, and I won't have to scare your punk ass off Twitter. It's really simple dude.

What a powerful moment to have all these women and survivors on stage together.

Just seen this and I feel sad. I, and other men, were born into a time when chivalry is now seen as sexist and condescending to women (yet give license to certain men depending on attraction). I am flirty as any woman who I know can attest to. Why you ask?! Because I was raised by women. Who told me if you want to talk to women, have the confidence to be a man and say what is on your mind. I believe in the #metoomovement
and have also been on that receiving end of being objectified. Please don’t throw a wall up to every guy that says hello. And don’t use the movement to say we are all the same. We aren’t. But believe me, men are mesmerized by beauty and will always be attracted to it. We have a weakness and women are it. Don’t make men the enemy, because we all aren’t.
Liberating ourselves from the idea that we are mere objects existing primarily to be pleasing to the eye and to be used for sexual gratification is complex. .
Because it is a cultural issue, for many of us the conditioning is so deeply rooted we can't even imagine an alternative idea. .
My recovery has set me on a path of discovery. I want to have conversations about what is possible for us. I want to create opportunities to think critically about our cultural conditioning and how it plays out in nuanced ways in our day to day lives. .
To create something new, we need to first become aware of where we are starting from. Recovering our agency, our bodies and our sexuality requires hard reflection, contemplation, grief and growth. .
This has become pivotal to my trauma and eating disorder recovery. Can you relate??

“Speaking up and speaking out is not easy. Telling our stories of abuse over and over and over again, in graphic detail, is not easy. We’re sacrificing privacy and being judged and scrutinized, and it is painful, but it is time”
141 women on stage at the ESPYS, representing the hundreds of victims of Larry Nassar, receive the Arthur Ashe Courage Award

These 140 women are sexual assault survivors. They were awarded the Arthur Ashe Courage award last night, proof that speaking up has power. #metoomovement
SEXUAL ABUSERS HAVE NO PLACE IN OUR SOCIETY!!! The 2018 ESPY Awards ended on the promise of strength and solidarity in the sports community with a performance of MILCK's "Quiet" that will be hard to forget.
During the Wednesday (July 18) awards show, singer-songwriter MILCK closed out the night with a powerful and moving rendition of her viral anthem "Quiet" as over one hundred Larry Nassar sexual assault survivors were presented with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Since the inception of the Women's March on Washington D.C. last year, "Quiet" has become an anthem for the #MeToo
movement and has served as a unifying song bringing healing to people all over the world who have suffered and survived sexual harassment, misconduct, assault, and abuse. #espn #sexualabusers #survivor #metoomovement #metoo #assult #women #girl #speakup #speakupspeakout #awards #followforfollowback #follownow
Last week the episode of You Can’t Ask That that I appear in aired on @abctv
🗣🎞🖤 It’s about survivors of sexual assault. I was too heartbroken about news of the death of Dr Stuart Kidd, a truly brilliant contributor, to cross promote outside my personal Facebook. I don’t see my contribution as brave, as I’m in a place, after a tonne of therapy, where I’m not ashamed of it and don’t view it as a central part of who I am. I’m very happy to talk about the show if you ever see me IRL. But being a part of this excellent show has definitely helped me in my own deeper grieving of who I was before I was raped, and has contributed to a continual process of loving that person and letting them go. I hope my experience can help other survivors see that they can live beyond this horror. We need to keep talking, listening and believing that this problem pervades every level of society. But most importantly action needs to happen and I hope this show can be a part of our collective refusal to tolerate this any more. 🙅♀️ If you need support - there are many brilliant resources for sexual assault CASA is my recommendation. If you’d like to watch it - it’s available on ABC iView online. ✨♥️✨ #youcantaskthat #ycat #sexualassault #sexualassaultsurvivor #traumasurvivor #abcaustralia #feministartist #mentalhealthartist #queerartist #survivor #advocate #peeradvocate #rapesurvivor #melbourne #melbourneart #metoo #metoomovement

Lately, I have been struggling more than usual with dealing with both racism and sexism that is occuring quite frequently with my job. I'm unfortunate to say that I have experienced many of these things since I started working, from "innocent" jokes to more serious cases of harassment. Is it the sector I'm working in, the cultures I'm interactive with or just the extreme ignorance that is present all around? This job is extremely rewarding, but it can also be disheartening whenever I'm reminded of how these issues are still so deeply embedded in society... #speakingmymind #metoo
