You want me to do what??? Yeah, that was my look today given to my MMA instructor. He mentor me well where I was back at being a champion. He made me do extra sets ....Ugh 😑 We all need guidance from time to time with a little “push” here and there. When someone helps you achieve your goals and believes in you, accept it, and count it as a blessing. We all need mentoring in life. Mind over matter ya’ll💙 Get rid of the pride and negative self talk in the subconscious mind to help manifest all you can be👍🏻” I think I can” .... Perhaps my struggles can help lift ya’ll up! #MMA #Sore #Epsomsaltsisamust #FitwithLinz #Makingdailyprogress #Healthylifestyle #Mentalstrength #Physicalstrength #Ihatedoingpullups
I absolutely love how strong I am both mentally and physically. Physically I love that I can lift up 50lbs bags of feed or salt continuously. I love the shocked look I get from people after I lift something a MAN should do. Mentally, I've overcame depression. I live with my ptsd. And though my past was terrible I'm still able to be happy.

If you're not going to work hard, give it your all and out hustle everyone you might as well just go back to where you came from right now!
:: M E D I T A T E :: Research tells us that the most prominent brain functions involved in meditation, regardless of what the technique is, are the mechanisms that manage our attention, regulate the effects of relaxation and modulate mood. In fact the research shows that despite their different “brand names” (and price tags) most meditation techniques more or less involve these same functions. Much of these findings have emerged from fMRI studies of the brain. (Paper at beyondthemind.com)
Man I tell you, mental strength is a powerful one! The way you think now dictates the way your life will be. All it takes is one thought to set you off for an eternity. It’s up for you to decide which direction you choose to rest in.
Mental strength is just as important to me as physical strength. I’ve done a lot of crazy shit in my life that requires serious mental preparation and fortitude. Letting a bull charge me head on is one of them.
Here is a little clip of how we prepare for a real bullfight when we don’t have practice bulls.
Much respect to this group and the guys that paved the way for us. Thank you to the team for taking me in and my good buddy David for introducing me to the sport. If you want to see the best grabber in the US check David out, @murican_koala.
Somedays you push through your workout just because you know it's something you need to do! On these days you may fall a rep or two short because you're tired and you've convinced yourself it's ok. ..
Other days you're pumped up, you push through every rep, no excuses, because you know you can and you will. ..
What's the difference between these two days? Your mental attitude!! Working out isn't just about physical strength it's about mental strength and that mental strength follows you long after that workout is done!!
>> mind over matter = the use of willpower to overcome physical problems
September - My world came crashing down.. something I prayed would never happen to me, did. I tore my ACL & was benched to the sidelines.
October - I scheduled my surgery & was petrified of how I would feel after, thinking I would never play again & even if I did, I would be mediocre because I was “physically impaired”... My injury would hold me back...
November/December - I started physical therapy, trained, rested, cried, slept a lot & really started to believe that my career was over, someone would replace me, I would never be able to work my way back to a starting spot.
January - One day the switch flipped. Why am I thinking like this? I just had one of the best surgeons reattach my ACL with a perfectly strong hamstring. There are no more tears, it isn’t weak, it is strong & as he would say “bionic”.. why was I letting a plastic contraption trap me into believing I was “damaged”. That day I told myself, I WILL play lacrosse this coming season (February) and I WILL be even better than I was before..
March - I felt great. Game 1 came and I was starting.. the whistle blew and the ball was coming right to me, yesss, here we go!! I froze, it was like my feet were in cement & the ball went right by me to the other team. My coach pulled me & I didn’t play another minute.
Next game I got another chance.. except this time right before I ran on the field, I took my brace off and hid it under the bench.. sprinted to the field before anyone could stop me. I was back! I was the roadrunner I always was, cutting, pivoting and chasing people down. It was like nothing ever happened! I never wore it again and continued to play every game the next 3 years of my career.
Our minds can play games on us. If we let it take over and constantly think what if, poor me, I can’t.. you will be benched to the sidelines.. but if we ignore the thoughts and rise above, anything is possible. Like being part of the team who created history that has yet to be surpassed! #acwlax
Being strong comes in so many different forms. Its not just about how you look on the outside but how strong you are on the inside. We try to employ best practices for developing not only a strong and healthy body, but a strong and healthy mindset. That is probably where you'll find your biggest strengths. this is about 8 years ago when I was 30. Even after having 2 kids and a few surgeries my body weight has been pretty consistent since I was 14. I’ve always had body image issues, at the time of this photo I thought my thighs were too big and thought I had a muffin top when I wore jeans. I struggle with these thoughts still but am happy to be stronger now than I’ve been in my life even with my thighs a little bigger. The biggest strength difference in myself from then to now is not the circumference of my thighs or arms but my acceptance of myself every day.
I woke up this morning feeling pretty drained, I tossed and turned all night for no reason at all. As I got dressed to get my workout in, I couldn’t help but think “I can skip today, no big deal” but you know what I didn’t do...Skip.
I may not have been at my strongest or feeling totally energized but I pushed through and made it happen, glasses and all.
Some days you may not feel like it, but do it anyways. You will be happy you didn’t give up!
Top 3.. not the clearest pic, but it's one of the only pictures of myself in front of the #ArnoldShield
. I see this, &I feel gasoline pouring on the fire in my soul.. not to compete again, but to live LIFE. With this comp I pushed myself to breaking, and broke, and broke PAST it AGAIN AND AGAIN, &now I know how far I'll go, not just to win, but to LIVE LIFE. For a FEELING. I know now how far I'll go to make these explosive moments. You have to work for #richness
. For #experience
▪️When I stepped off stage, I knew, we are GOOD AT LIFE. I will hustle, grind, love, sacrifice, for months, years to make this precious dream come true. I am capable of Greatness. I AM. ▪️It's only 21 days after the competition, a lot of things have washed over me. I'm still processing what I've been through, physically &mentally. It will take time. ▪️Deep breath... The adventure never stops!!!!

“Speak the truth about unpleasant things.” —Jordan Peterson
The difficult conversation you’re putting off is exactly the one you must have.
Truth above good feelings. You must face the truth, no matter how hard, if you want life to go well for you.
FEAR-LESS in all that you do today!
You can plan your tomorrow but you cannot live here tomorrow. Right now people are living in tomorrow and that’s why there is fear. The only thing you can do about this is to come down to reality. If you just respond to what is there right now and not imagine something that does not exist, there is no room for fear. Once the hallucination is gone where is fear? You will not imagine something that does not exist you respond to what exists right now.
You will reduce your anxiety, you will be more productive and you will be in the moment.
I dare YOU to be FEARLESS

Pic is from 3 days ago, after this cabin fever you can probably add 100 lbs to that😂😅🐽
I want to talk about seasonal affective disorder, or also called SAD (no pun intended🙃). SAD is a form of depression that is related to changes in seasons. It usually starts when the days start getting shorter and temperatures drop and improves again once proper spring hits. Symptoms are basically those of depression such as low energy, sleeping problems, self doubt, losing interest in things you usually enjoy, changes in appetite/weight, etc. Long story short, if you've been doubting yourself lately or found yourself not being able to stop stuffing your face (raise your hands✋) it might be that you need some good old 🌞 put in a very simple way. My top tipps for that are 🌟Sunbeds (Yes they are safe, especially if you only go for a few minutes once or twice a week)
🌟Daylight lamps (if you can recommend a specific one, pls comment below)
🌟Getting outside and moving in general
🌟 Vitamin D supplements
🌟A nice cuppa with your friends 😊
