This is a retooling of the TLK Berserker mold, but fine-tuned and reformmated to look like Crowbar. This figure has differing appendage features and poseable 'Dreads' but feels severely lacking when all he comes with are two spikes clubs that are basically a last resort for weapons.
He was one of three Decepticons that were in the DOTM Highway chase battle. Unfortunately to most, hes just a random grunt, without much movie time. He makes for a great side Decepticon and authenticity for his two scenes.
Hasbro modified the Berserker mold to the point of where it feels like a completely different Transformer. They share vehicle modes, but his skeletal makeup is very different. The paint applications and textures fit the character well. The dreads, although annoying when transforming have a unique charm to them.
Playability is better than Berserker because of tighter joints and thicker appendages. What's really annoying are the Dreads themselves, are moveable and rubbery, but almost never cooperate. Poseability is more limited than Berserker. Weapon storage is also not as good as Berserker because the new legs don't have the storage tabs.
Total Rating: 6/10
Crowbar is not a bad figure, but he's not that showy either. This figure makes for an excellent side Decepticon, and use for the two scenes hes in, but thats just it. The dreads have their pros and cons but can be managed with some finnicking. If youre on a limited budget, you could skip this one.
