There are so many common misconception of yoga: it's only suitable for flexy peeps or it's only about making shapes/asana/poses or getting flexy/bendy (or some other morph of the same concept). Developing a safe and sustainable asana (postural) practice is about improving self discipline (still working on it myself...) so as to prepare the body to support a healthy mind and fulfill a more spirited life.
Yoga is a science, a therapy, an intentional PRACTICE that synthesizes a whole bunch of principles into an individual experience for each practitioner and it carries through into everyday life. Whaaaa!? 🤔 yup it's amazing and with the right teacher, it's suitable for everyone.
This week, all my offerings will incorporate more than one form of yoga - asana, pranayama, meditation, self enquiry... don't be deterred from developing your own practice because of all that lycra! Come in your comfy clothes, leave pretenses at the door and let us begin.
