Bringing to you a blackened salmon with oven roasted potatoes and asparagus 👅
Multi-tasking is key when it comes to cooking!!! Sooo first chop/season the potatoes and let those bake on a cookie sheet with tin foil while you do all the other good stuff. .
When the potatoes become soft enough to stick a fork through, put them under the broiler and let em crisp up 😏
TIP FOR BLACKENING SALMON
Don't let it sit in the fridge while it marinades(weird I know) but only because it needs to cook on high heat to get that good flavahhh on the outside. If the fish is too cold, the inside will take forever to cook..
Once your done prepping the salmon check on the potatoes and they'll prollyyy be ready to go under the broiler.
When you start cooking the salmon the potatoes can come out and the asparagus can go in 🙌

Being creative with meal preps are so helpful so you don’t get in a funk! I had some left over lentils and rice (Indian style with turmeric, cinnamon, cumin and other spices). Got home from work tonight and decided to turn it into a fried rice. Added mushrooms some bone broth to rehydrate, and an egg. I really wish I had some spinach to wilt in with it (next time)! Anyway.. it👏🏽was👏🏽so👏🏽good
Be creative with your cooking to turn around blah food. Guaranteed you’ll be more likely to stick to your meal plans and not binge on unhealthy food 🤗

I am loving the fact that it’s been warm ☀️ enough to grill almost every day this last week! I heard snow is on the way (again) 🤫 so I took advantage of another nice evening and grilled up some chicken breasts seasoned with my favorite Jamaican rub (it’s so good). 😍After the chicken was cooked, I sliced it and drizzled the most DELICIOUS lemon yogurt dipping sauce. 😋 I just love how the cool and refreshing flavors of the sauce cuts the heat of the rub I used to season the chicken. Since John is out of town for a few days and it’s just me and the pooch at home, meals are going to be real simple from here on out. I pulled some of my Spicy Black Bean Soup from the freezer and I’m going to heat it up and serve it with a bagged salad and call it a night after a long day. It definitely won’t look as pretty as this one but that really doesn’t matter because it doesn’t need to be complicated to be good for you. 👉4- slices ham
👉4 tbsp-Flavorgod Ranch seasoning
👉1 lb-mozzarella cheese (sliced or shredded)
👉1/4 cup-fresh parsley (chopped)
👉1 cup-heavy cream
👉Flavorgod Himalayan pink salt to taste
✅preheat oven to 375
✅Slice peeled potatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
✅Press a layer of potatoes evenly into the bottom of a greased baking pan.
✅season the potatoes with a layer of Flavorgod Ranch seasoning
✅cover with a thin layer of mozzarella
✅Place a layer of ham slices evenly on top of the mozzarella
✅on top of the ham add a layer of sliced chicken
✅repeat the steps above adding parsley wherever desired
✅place final layer of potato on top
✅top off with another final layer of cheese
✅In a small bowl, mix the heavy cream, eggs and a dash of Flavorgod Himalayan pink salt
✅Pour on top of the shredded cheese.
✅Bake for about 50 minutes, until the cheese is a deep golden brown.
✅Cool slightly, slice, then serve!

When you keep it simple, eating healthy is actually pretty cheap. 😋.
The most I spend is on my plant based protein powder but even with that, broken down it’s only $4 a day and that alone cuts my grocery bill in half. And with my shake, that’s one meal I can either supplement or use as a snack. Cheaper & healthier than all my meals put together 🙌🏾
I also use lots of frozen steamers & they’re like $2 at the most. Sure some would say hamburger helper is only .99 but keep eating like that and it will cost you in the long run.
You can either pay the farmer now or pay the doctor later.😊

I love to section my salmon, marinate and then freeze. Saves a ton of⏱ &💵!
Be consistent, don’t expect the world to be handed to you on a platter . Slow progress is still progress !👌👌

Breakfast: quinoa w/ roasted veggies & a soft boiled egg
Lunch: Black bean pasta w/ sautéed cauliflower
Dinner: Chicken w/ roasted squash & carrots
Meal prep for today and a simple diet hack! I’m doing 1800 calories 10x180(bodyweight) since it’s a mini cut I’m Tracking everything on my fitness pal plus doing intermittent fasting. I like tracking that way I can have variety in my diet and not eat the same shit everyday. Just have to make sure I hit my numbers and the weight will start falling off!
