If it's a single ingredient food with no added chemicals, then it doesn't matter if it's been ground or put into a jar. It's still real food. However, foods that have been chemically processed and made solely from refined ingredients and artificial substances are what are generally known as processed food. . Here are 9 ways that processed foods are bad for your health: . 1. High in sugar and high-fructose corn syrup. 2. Engineered for overconsumption & addiction. 3. Breakfast is quite literally the meal meant to “break the fast” from all the hours you spend sleeping, and skipping it is known to cause a slew of bad chain reactions throughout the body. For a healthy breakfast, most people will do best eating a combination of protein and good fats first thing in the morning—like eggs and avocado, both of which keep you satisfied for longer and help prevent low blood sugar fluctuations. Breakfast also helps to restore dipped blood glucose levels after fasting throughout the night. By choosing a low glycemic index (GI) breakfast, blood glucose levels get restored at a more stable rate compared to breakfast with higher levels of GI. Without breakfast, the most immediate effect that you may feel is fatigue and lower energy levels, leading to bad moods throughout the day. Studies have also found that skipping breakfast may cause the body to enter starvation mode, where the body starts storing energy as fat cells and leads to higher risk of obesity. . You may also have an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, especially among women. Besides that, studies also have shown that men who skipped breakfast were 27 percent more likely to develop coronary artery disease than men who ate a morning meal. Dinner tonight ,a simple lowgi vegeterian thali. . 1.Bhindi/okra stir fry with cumin powder,coriander powder,dry ginger powder,red chilli powder,sea salt cooked in mustard oil. . 2.Banana peppers/Hungarian wax peppers & potato sabji. Is sugar bad for you? Are all sugars equal? . . . • Like most things in life, the poison is in the dose. . Your body actually needs sugars, but consuming too much sugar leads to type-II diabetes and obesity. Too much sugar also results in an increase in advanced glycation end products, and so in skin damage and a greater risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. . That’s why added sugar can be dangerous: not because it’s “as addictive as cocaine”. The real danger with sugar is not that it’s inherently fattening. A gram of sugar is still just 4 calories. And 4 calories will not make you fat. However, you can eat a lot of sugar and not feel full. So you eat some sugar…and then some more…and then some more…and next thing you know a box of cookies are gone — and you’re still feeling hungry. . . • So how much added sugar can I eat per day? . Ce soir, je vous propose une recette super simple : une tarte oignon-courgette-balsamique sur une base de feuilles de filo. J’adore remplacer la pâte feuilletée par des feuilles de filo car ça apporte du croustillant mais très peu de calories. Vous avez déjà essayé ? Ça vous tente ? Tarte légère - Oignon - Courgette - Balsamique (225 calories pour la moitié de la tarte) ✔️ 2 feuilles de filo ✔️ 10 g de margarine végétale ✔️ 145 g d’oignons ✔️ 3 cas de vinaigre balsamique ✔️ 1 cas de sucre de coco ✔️ 240 g de courgettes ✔️ 5 g de pignons de pin ✔️ 25 g de fêta (facultatif) Faire fondre la margarine végétale. Badigeonner la moitié d’une feuille de filo et piler. Placer dans le plat à tarte. Recommencer avec la 2eme feuille et finir en badigeonnant de margarine. Enfourner pour 8 min à 180 degrés en couvrant. Émincer les oignons et les mettre dans une sauteuse avec un fond d’eau. Faire cuire jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus d’eau et que les oignons soient bien tendre. Ajouter le vinaigre balsamique et le sucre. Mélanger et faire cuire jusqu’à ce qu’il n’y ait plus de vinaigre. Repartir sur la fond de la tarte. Couper les lamelles de courgettes et faire cuire 5 min à la vapeur ou dans l’eau. Saler. Rouler les « fleurs » et les placer sur la tarte. Enfourner pour 5/10 min. Finir avec les pignons (et la fêta si vous avez envie). C’est prêt !

That Thai Inspired "Sursur" Chicken Soup Dinner - Done Forget cats & dogs, it's been raining elephants here! Don't get me wrong... I love the monsoons But that flu I had last weekend, has left me feeling a bit cold & in the need for something nasal/sinus clearing🤦‍♀️ You know one of those slurpy, soupy dishes that is hot in both temperature & flavour? It's been one of those days today I made a super fine paste out of fresh lemongrass bulbs, fresh galangal, fresh turmeric root, Thai bird's eye chillies, salt & fresh coriander I tempered a mix of chilli oil & butter with garlic & added in the paste. Once the rawness left & the oil oozed from the sides of the cooked paste, I added in strips of chicken, fresh crushed kafir lime leaves, fish sauce, soya sauce & water Once cooked, I added in mushrooms, assorted bell peppers, fresh coriander, coconut milk & simmered till done It was one of those wonderfully balanced soups that are flavourful but the chilli hit makes your nose run & make that "sursur" noise🤣👌 You know the kind? Right? 🤣

When it’s time for a snack...how about delicious mushroom rectangles? 😋 1️⃣ Prepare the filling: I took mushrooms, onion, cottage cheese and spices. Stir fry for 5-7 minutes. 2️⃣ the dough: 200 ml warm water + 1 tea spoon sugar + 1 tea spoon salt + 100 ml cooking oil + 400 g flour (I took brown #glutenfree mix and rye flour) ▶️ form a ball and leave for 10 min. 3️⃣ Separate the big ball into small pieces, roll it and form the rectangles. 4️⃣Bake 20-25 min (180 degrees) Note‼️ ℹ️ if you make the same filling as me, make sure there is no liquid left, otherwise your pastry won’t get baked properly ℹ️if you bake with using normal flour, use 70% wheat flour and 30% of rye or brown flour. ℹ️this dough has no taste, that means you can use it for sweet filling as well.
