Electrolytes on Keto
When you begin a ketogenic diet and drastically cut back on carbs, your body produces less insulin and glycogen stores are depleted. For every gram of glycogen (stored carbs) three grams of water are stored as well.
As those stores are depleted, our kidneys go from retaining water to excreting more of it. If you’ve done keto before, you may have noticed that you experienced a “whoosh” early on, where you lost a lot of weight and felt less bloated.
This is water weight resulting from the excretion of water.
The upside? Looking better.

How everyone Sunday going? Here is freezing outside.
Almôndegas de berinjela recheada com queijo . Ideia saudável e super fácil de fazer ! Anotem aí a receita ✏️ 1 berinjela grande picada , alho , cebola , sal e temperos do seu gosto ( eu usei pimenta vermelha picada e orégano ) 1 xícara de aveia em flocos , água se necessário cubos de mozzarella para rechear . Na panela refogar com um pouco de azeite alho e cebola , depois acrescentar a berinjela e os temperos a gosto e deixar cozinhar até ficar bem molinha a berinjela se quiser pode amassar a berinjela com o garfo ... Depois da berinjela cozida desligar o fogo e acrescentar a aveia , se precisar acrescente um pouco de água para dar liga . Depois e só esperar esfriar fazer as bolinhas e rechear com um pedacinho de queijo . Levar ao forno 200 graus mais ou menos 20 minutos . As much as I love slimming world and recommend it to anyone I feel like following a low carb diet helps me control what I eat. I feel like I don’t just stop at one biscuit and end up over my syns😩 . ******
On keto I don’t really feel hungry as I’m not getting sugar cravings. I’m eating less than half of what I would because I’m feeling full 😬. ******
I will go back to slimming world when I feel more in control. It is more of a family friendly diet 👩👦 my son and I can eat meals together without him seeing that I’m eating different to him. But following keto is helping me loose weight to live a happier and healthier life with him so how ever I get to target as long as I get there and stay there will be what is best for me! ******
Keto is hard. I’m taking it one week at a time. I would like to drop atleast a dress size before going back to slimming world. Depends how in control I feel.
