For a long time I have been insecure about sharing my couples portraits and wedding photography because I thought it would ruin all my success. Basically, I was scared because I let OTHER PEOPLE get into my head.
They told me I had to choose one or the other. Weddings or Branding. They told me I need to start a new Instagram account. Because my branding clients don’t care about weddings. And my wedding clients don’t care about my branding photography. People said it’s better if I “niche” down and not confuse my audience. And for a long time I listened. I kept going back and forth and almost started a new account like 10-times.
But you know what?! I’m not going to hold back anymore. I’m not going to try and have this perfect cohesive and curated brand. Because at the end of the day, I know my clients are coming to ME because of me.
And so...in case you were confused too, I specialize in weddings AND branding. Because I’m way too passionate to give one up.
Documenting love stories and helping couples feel a sense of ease and confidence on their special day has truly been a dream come true. Especially because as I plan my own wedding, I can totally relate to all the mixed emotions and nervous excitement they feel. It’s a big deal. I get it.
And then there’s my branding clients. I can’t tell you how honored I feel to help others step into their purpose and do the work they love. Before I ever was an entrepreneur, I was so inspired by other people who were working for themselves!
Not to mention later down the line, when my branding photography clients ask me to do their wedding photography like @theelectricwarrior
did!!! An even BIGGER honor!
I figure all my clients will be inspiring each other for different reasons. And I love having a unique and diverse brand that is about more than just one thing.
I’d love to know friends, do you have more than one passion? What are they?
