We're now working with independent Cranborne baker Chris Wakely at his Orchard Bay Bakery, to make our two new house bagel breads.. Chris uses his sourdough starter and Shipton Mill flour to make our plain and seeded bagels, so the new breads have a subtle sour flavour and a soft crumb. Ben spent the afternoon there with Chris and assistant baker John, helping on their little production line where every bagel is rolled and formed by hand before being poached in water and baked to give them the classic bagel crust. #handmade #bagel #freshlymade #localbaker

My first time using the time lapse feature! Here’s the crumb coat process for a practice cake I’m making for an order going out this weekend! A crumb coat is a thin layer of frosting that you coat the cake in, before the final frosting is put on. The crumb coat catches all the crumbs from the cake so your final layer of frosting can be free of those pesky crumbs.
