In the Good Old Summertime was a musical remake of the MGM film The Shop Around the Corner, which was released in 1940. Oddly enough, Judy is the only main character that ends up singing in the musical version.
In the Good Old Summertime is actually a glimmer of hope for Judy amongst this dark time in her life. She was given time off in 1948 because of her health, and she had gained some weight in that time. The director did not force her to lose the weight for the film, which was a big help to Judy’s mental health. The audience liked it too, for they were glad to see Judy at a healthy weight again.
As many may know, In the Good Old Summertime was Liza Minnelli’s first film. She played the daughter at the end of the movie.
Day Fourteen: Favourite Real Life Relationship!
Now, this is hard, because there is not really a great relationship out of all of Judy’s husbands, but I decided to go with Vincente Minnelli because of all things that came out of their relationship.
This happens every time Matt says he can’t spot me my half of the diner check. @ufotop #lizaminnelli

ORIGINAL NEWSPAPER ARTICLE (Micheal and Liza)
I found this great article about the death of Vincente Minnelli. The article talks about Micheal Jackson and Liza Minnelli helping Vincente's widow to the funeral.

As a Garland fan firstmost, do know that i saw a news video when he died in 2009 of Lorna Luft (Judy's daughter) talking about the comparisons in his and her mother's life and death. I became a fan last spring when my mom (who often got an itch for reliving her favorite classic songs she heard as a child) come across a video she had seen many years before: The USA for Africa. She started pointing out all the artists she remembered and some she liked (I think Ronnie Milsap was in it, she loves his music). Obviously Micheal was in it. There was no need for introduction. But after it was over, she stumbled on some of his songs she remembered in a related search list. Two of them she loved best: "Man In The Mirror" and "Heal The World". When I heard those songs, I couldn't help but fall in love with them. One reason was that they seemed to contradict all the bad rumors I had heard about him. Then she found "Black Or White" and "Will You Be There" but her love was one song of his that had carried her through dark times in her adult life: "You Are Not Alone". We both nearly cried. For the rest of that evening we had Micheal Jackson marathons. I never thought I would ever like his music but I found some i did. Then she told me his life story. I had never heard anyone tell his sad and tragic story with so much heart and sympathy like she did. I never even knew the things she explained of him. I felt bad. That's when I officially became a fan. At the end of her story, she made me promise to never believe the lies that the media said of him. She told me that I should always have something positive to say of him. That I would never think badly of him. I never knew that my mother would ever think that way of him. I never even knew she liked him. So ya, I do like him and I hope to find more posts to put in my account alongside Judy. Two of my favorite songers.
