So...the majority of the time I’m super enthusiastic about life in general, and up till this point I’ve been excited about fruit 99.9% and stayed really positive about the lack of quality fruits here in the Midwest. But this one post is me venting a little. It’s peak fruit season and ever since I got back from Malaysia I’ve barely had any good fruit. The cherries, watermelon, nectarines, grapes and plums are ALL completely bland and watery. 😭 The other day I was so excited about a big bunch of organic nectarines, to find that only 1 out of 5 were good/above average. So I’d have eaten 5 for a meal, but it wasn’t satisfying at all because I was filled up on non-sweet fruit. I’ve tried to compensate by overeating till my stomach was so full, but because of the lack of calorie/nutrient density, I’m still not satisfied (but uncomfortable). The watermelon is fine if it’s not as sweet because I juice it 100% of the time, but here’s the worst part: even the bananas aren’t sweet. 😂 BANANAS! The one staple fruit in the fruitarian world, especially to those living in the nontropics, because they’re the only thing reliable enough to ripen/sweeten enough to satisfaction. After years of relying on them, last November for 2 months I couldn’t eat them anymore. But since there’s nothing good available in winter, I started making banana ice cream every day, switching up the flavors by mixing in a little bit of other fruit or even cinnamon. And that’s worked for these 8 months, but after buying and being disappointed by all these tasteless fruits, this past week my diet had consisted of mostly bananas and a mountain of dates. 😫 In peak summer! Bananas/dates were part of my daily diet during the winter (and even last fall), and others before that. About 10% of the really good non-banana fruit that I’m able to get are what I usually post here. But I can’t..eat..any..more..bananas...or dates. And I’m tired of not being satisfied even after a large portion of low quality fruits/veg and feeling bloated. In the past month the only good things were the wild mulberries and a single yellow (honeydew?) melon that was so sweet... CONTINUED IN THE COMMENTS ⬇️
Radish juice has an enzime that helps normalize thyroid function, either is hypo or hiper. Not the best taste but the apples fix most of it.
Almost 24 hours into my weekly 36 hour dry fast (a day early so I can join in with a social meal😊). Completed a 14 mile cycle commute and now to relax. I have some cantaloupe melons awaiting 😋
Looking forward to the long summer holiday starting tomorrow 😁🌟
Sweat baby sweat...did a 30 minute workout this morning and I have to confess: I did one of them without ANY weights. The shoulder flys were absolutely BRUTAL.

Go for it. Not once, but again and again and again. Whatever it takes. Because in the end, with arms held high in the winner's circle, beaming with joy, as light as a feather, you'll see how fantastically disproportionate the rewards are for the effort expended, the risks taken, and the price paid - no matter how many false starts you endured. And you'll be astounded by how quickly you made it, even though, when the going got tough and your spirits ebbed, you thought you'd never, ever, ever see "the day."
Thank you, universe. ✨
