LEG DAY EXTRAVAGANZA⭐️🌟✨⚡️ I haven’t been to the gym in like four days and I haven’t worked legs in like a week or so, so to say the least, my legs were shaking when I left the gym🙃 but these were deff some killer workouts to give them a try! Oh, and the second workout, of the kneeling squat hip thrust things, were my first time trying those and they had me crying😭 so deff try those out for sure🤗

yesterdays tempo squats 📶
first time doing them so stayed light but wooooof do you feel them. They key is to keep tight, focus on form & controlling the weight. 10/10 would recommend at your own risk 💀
For the past few months, my workouts have included less cardio and more weight lifting. I have seen amazing progress, and am stronger now than I have ever been!
As many of you know, for a big chunk of my journey, my workouts were strictly circuit/cardio based. I have to say, I don’t necessarily miss doing these kind of workouts. But once in awhile (especially after a weekend of bad eating) I will complete a quick 30 min circuit.
It is always nice to challenge myself and get my heart rate up. Here is my workout from this afternoon (full credit to Kayla Itsines BBG):
CIRCUIT 1 (2x7 min)
❌Sumo Jump Squats - 15
❌Weighted sumo squats (on bench) - 15
❌Burpees 😪 - 15
❌Weighted burpees - 15 per leg
CIRCUIT 2 (2x7 min)

The leg press is a super set with two different foot placements, the wider is glute focused...the closer is quad focused!
Tonight was the first and hopefully only time I will ever fully cry in the gym 😂
I was so determined to hit 300kg on leg press and as you can see in the first two clips, my leggies were having none of it 😭 I was stood there sniffling in the corner, took myself to the loo and sat there visualising myself hitting that goal (beautiful visual image I know 🚽) Came back and smashed out 5 reps (3rd clip) 🙌🏼 Wept a few happy tears, then upped it just by 5kg each side to get me to 310kg for 2 reps 😀
I’ve still got SO far to go, but trust me in a month I’ll be places 😂 I know I can get stronger, I’m just excited for the process now! Here’s to a seriously good and strong week ahead - lotsa love! 💖👊🏼 Song - Fill me in (AFTR-HRS Mixcut) 🎧✨
Edit: I notice I lock my knees a little due to fatigue when I push out, please be careful and keep them slightly bent to look after your joints! Not locking also means your quads & glutes will work harder = peachy growth 💪🏽🍑🤗

Being super busy at work and spending more sessions at kickboxing, as well as coming down with the flu, has meant the gym has taken a back seat over the last few weeks. Here are a few of my workouts that you’re welcome to use - I appear to be favouring legs at the moment. Have been adding in arrows to help me track - this way I can easily go back to my previous workouts to see if I need to increase my weight or not. Don’t forget to adapt these weights to your own ability - you may be able to only lift half of what I can, or twice as much. Every weight is cool, as long as you’re pushing yourself. You do you.
Getting one last workout in before Denver ⛰
It’s been a long time since I did barbell stationary lunges. Partly because I prefer to hold the dumbbells and do walking lunges instead, but today felt different. Getting out of my comfort zone, I knew I had to pay close attention to keeping my balance, my form, and protecting my knees. I’ve seen people load on a lot of weight only to “bang” their knees on the floor. What good is that when the full execution depends on contracting and controlling the muscle on the way down and up?! I’ve started with 95lbs for 15 reps on both sides and looking to work my way up on strength while checking my ego at the door 🤔😯🤫😏

Que no hay sacrificios? claro que hay, pero el sacrificio va a ser tener que entrenar un día que esta lloviendo y queres dormir, o no comer pastel en el cumpleaños de tu amigo…
si estas sufriendo CADA día que te levantas para ir al gym (u otro actividad), si te estas matando de hambre y estas perdiendo vida social, LO ESTAS HACIENDO MAL.
—— Claro que hay algunos sacrificios, claro que hay que tener disciplina, pero se trata de consistencia y persistencia NO de sufrimiento.
