When it come to YOGA and WEIGHTLIFTING, in the beginning, I thought that the two wouldn’t go together and always ended up choosing one over the other. 🧘🏼♀️vs. 🏋🏼♀️ ——-
Over the past years, I've learned that they complement each other perfectly.
Below are some benefits I have experienced by combining these two:
1️⃣ In combination with weightlifting methods, yoga is a perfect way to increase endurance and strength.
2️⃣ Italso improves your complete body posture, and helps you to achieve balance and flexibility which is key for #squats
3️⃣ It helps maximize physical performance, while the meditative side of yoga contributes to your inner stability and mental balance.
4️⃣ Prevent injuries e.g. in deadlifts due to the constant flow of nerve signals between our brain and muscles which get improved by yoga.
5️⃣ Yoga is perfect for relaxing the body and it assists with your post-workout recovery. I love to do yoga after weightlifting to slowly settle in to my body and feel the work I’ve done 💗 🧘🏼♀️ So to all my lifters: maybe try that yoga class every once in a while 🙏🏽
