REAL DEAL 💯: With the advent of Ralph Lauren Polo's current monumental retro push, LO-LIFES and LO-Heads alike have had to face the old adage of one being careful of what they wish for.
For years, many of us clamored for the re-release of specific iconic I.T.s. However, now that it has happened, in an effort that I can comfortably say none of us saw coming, it can all seem a bit much.
The nostalgia upon which much of our culture is built is based on a beautiful struggle - search and destroy missions to locate and obtain the most exclusive pieces, the passionate acquisition of such symbols, even if only temporarily, making us the envy of our circle of friends.
Basically, if none of your LO wears ain't got no eats, you ain't really been in these streets.
Lizzy holes and frayed wristbands are well earned wounds from a lifetime of dedication to a brand (and brands) that, until recently, were never dedicated to us. That having been said, that new Crizzy turtleneck knit might just have to come home with me ... lol.
Still, there will never be anything better than the originals.
With that in mind, let us all salute some true originals: Black Wayne, Barkim, Rudy-LO, Uncle Disco x Big Vic-LO AKA Thirstin Howl The III pictured here circa 1989.
What these men created, let no Hypebeast put asunder.
