I've been hesitant for months to post this picture of me. It may be because the imperfections of my body are usually covered up by clothing, it may be because when I first saw this picture, I truly saw my scoliosis in a way that I never had before and it hit me. really hard. I figured now is the best time than any to share. December truly changed me, the way I live, my dreams, my home life, my capabilities, and my future goals. But I know that through it all over the past 7 months, I am seeing changes, I'm no longer in bed all day every day in pain ( of course I still have days that are harder than others), I am capable of doing more physical exercises other than Physical Therapy, and I'm finding myself being able to get out of the house more with both of my children. I know it will only get better from here. As I've said to many of my friends and family over the past several months, I'm taking it one day at a time.
June is Scoliosis awareness month, and I'm sharing my curves.
