How did THAT happen?
My 30 day lessons learned:
1. I was WAY to low on carbs and how that manifested with me was terrible to NO sleep. I tried magnesium baths, magnesium gel, Passion flower and yoga. NOTHING worked until @healthfulpursuit
talked about carbs and sleep. I added carbs to my last meal and by 10pm I couldn't keep my eyes open. Try sweet potatoes or berries or something ~ don't think Oreos!
2. You would never sell me on the keto diet if "high performance" was thrown around. all I would think of is body building and over enthusiastic life coaches. What "high performance" means to me right now? Spending my free time, cooking, cleaning, organizing, putting up gallery walls, assembling furniture...AND enjoying it. It doesn't just apply to workouts...apply it to every task in your life. It enhances your performance. Adding @bulletproof
brain octane has made a significant difference to how I feel on keto but i am no expert on exactly why yet but it's not worth doing this without it and I feel that brand is the best quality and concentrated.
3. I don't know the official description for "fat adapted" but after all the dieting, calorie restriction and cleanses I have done THIS so far, once fat adapted, is effortless. Remove that old thought about how "hard" diets are. Once you get into this "fat adapted" rhythm you do not feel restricted and food takes up almost no real estate in your mind. Instead it's filled with things to "get done" and enjoy more free time in your everyday life.
4. Once you get off the glucos train it's easy to identify things that should be modified in your keto lifestyle...connected to food, sleep and exercise. GO EASY on yourself everyone is different and this keto lifestyle is more flexible than you think.
I have also seen SIGNIFICANT improvements in my skin.
