He could've used a deflagrating explosive, but then there's a higher survival chance for the worms inside. Plus, there's not much that can beat the lovely sparks of red and yellow that fly up through the sky when a detonative explosive is set off. It's like a festival filled with fireworks; cheering--well, they're not exactly /cheering/--screams from the witnesses as the world above them is lit up with a multitude of pretty sparkles. The glimmer in a daughter's brown eyes is crisper than autumn's leaves, so she makes the trees jealous.
In retaliation, they too set alight, on occasion. It is not tonight's case, luckily, because the building acting as the sky is surrounded by its brothers and sisters, whom keep the fires contained by bricks and concrete.
Jason scowls at the thought. Having no /acknowledged/ siblings himself, he has often wondered what it would be like to have another person alongside himself in life. One who... Actually cares. One who gives a fuck about his excessive drinking and the cigarette packets on his kitchen counter.
Living with death takes its toll, and loneliness ensues after the connections with people you used to know perish. Nights that used to be spent flying in the city alongside a big, black bat are now spent--if not shooting men of bad morality--running from that very same bat.
Why, why oh why did he have to die? Of every poor soul in the universe, why was it Jason Peter Todd that had to die so young?
And why... Why did no one give a shit about it?
Before he can tangle himself in that spider's web, he shakes off some dust from the shoulder of his jacket, giving the small action his full attention. The leather shines under the heated light, and you can see all the little patterns in its skin, even through the nighttime cycle eyes in this city currently reside in.
Someone screams for the last time with a particularly desperate sound, making his lips twitch upward momentarily.
A lot of people think him to be a sadistic savage, but the man who adorns the title 'Red Hood' disagrees with their opinions. [C.I.C]
