HYPERLAPSE of Humber bridge.
We are shooting a new episode for #DIYSOS
in Hull. And this is how I found out about the amazing Humber Bridge.
Did you know that there is enough cable in the bridge to nearly go around the earth twice?
This architectural marvel is 1.4 miles long and the towers are 155.5 metres high.
The bridge cost £98m to build. Initial estimates were that it would cost £28m
When it was opened, it was the LONGEST of its type in the world; it was not surpassed until 1998, with the completion of the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge (in Japan), and it is now the eighth-longest.
