😅 Got in a short bis and chest pump today 💪🏻

1) kneeling bicep curl w/bar- here I’m doing 5 reps full ROM fast pace - 5 at slow tempo - 5 half way up to hit the bottom of the muscle ss incline chest press w/DBS (using 45lb for 6-8 reps)
2) SA chest fly on cable machine ss SA horizontal bicep curls on cable machine
3) Decline chest flys on bench (20 lb for 10 reps) ss hammer curls

Instagram is adding the option to mute people from appearing in your feed. With an update rolling out “over the coming weeks,” you’ll be able to choose to remove someone’s posts, or both their posts and their stories, from appearing on Instagram’s main screen.

Wanted to touch on a topic that I continue to get countless questions about...especially with pool season approaching.
Detoxes and Cleansing
With the Summer approaching and many people devising their plans to get ready for pool season, I’ve received about a million messages about what “detox” or what “cleanse” is the best for weight loss.
Coming from someone who has studied nutrition for years on years.... the answer to that question is very straight forward and simple, and it may make some of you mad.
There is NO detox or cleanse that will help you lose actual body fat. END OF STORY.
So let’s take a look at what detoxing involves: -Fasting -Consuming only Juices and liquids for multiple days in a row -Eating a very restricted selection of foods -Using a variety of commercial products marketed to do things that just are not true -Using harsh laxatives to flush your body of water and nutrients -Or any combination of these things
So according to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (nccih.nih.gov) there is no scientific proof or evidence that detoxing helps with fat loss, toxin removal, or over general health improvement. In fact, without any help or any product, the human body itself is the most efficient detoxing machine on the planet.
In fact, there is actually a lot of research stating the complete opposite. This includes: -Killing bacteria in the gut and intestines that is needed for many bodily function -Drinking large quantities of juice can actually cause harm to the liver -Restricting caloric intake extremely low can cause a large variety of lasting health issues - Detoxifying programs will almost always lead to severe cases of diarrhea, electrolyte imbalances, and dehydration. ▪️
So do you guys want to know the real, proven way to lose that body fat?

Now there are definitely products that can help amplify what you do with your diet and training and accelerate the fat loss, but when it’s all said and done you CANNOT and WILL NOT outwork a poor diet.

Holy high volume guys!! You have GOT to try this recipe by @carolinebiddlefit
!!! It makes for an AWESOME high volume side to any dish!!! I’ll be indulging in this rather often! .
-230 grams riced cauliflower.
-2 Laughing Cow triangles.
-30 mL cashew milk (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk bc it’s what I have).
-15 grams Parmesan cheese.
1.) Cool the riced cauliflower as instructed. I take mine out of the steamables bag, dump in a bowl, and cook covered with a vented lid for 4 mins 30 seconds.
2.) Add other ingredients and stir until the cheese has melted.
3.)Cool on medium low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. .

, time you should know. I broke up with my boyfriend over the weekend. I told him I need three months with zero communication. Three months during which, while he seeks treatment for his PSTD and learns to control his outbursts/lashing out, I will be rebuilding myself and focusing on my health and livelihood. I love him, desperately, but I do not love how he treats me or how he talks to me when he’s lashing out. Furthermore, I went to the ER over the weekend (loooooong story). Basically I had a stomach bug, but a particularly nasty round exacerbated by copious amounts of stress. So I really truly need to stop taking care of him for a while and focus on myself. To distract me from all of the above, I’ve been having lots of fun with makeup and making music. 💕
185x5x5 today. This was big for me specifically because I’ve had some back and knee issues that have not been kind. Being able to pull a 5x5 at a weight that has hurt in the past is a win. Progress is progress no matter how slow.

This is definitely easier said than done, ESPECIALLY when everything seems to be going in the opposite direction. Not gonna lie, it’s not an easy thing to do. But to truly be able to let go of that control and allow life to take its course is one of the most freeing feelings this world has to offer. I am a believer in everything happens for a reason.
