The last two weeks have been tough but I persevere through the pain! I have the Nike Run app best free app ever. I push myself every week to complete the 15K challenge. As much as I do people are shocked to hear that I have had 2 major back surgery. If I can do it so can you! #blackgirlsrun#iloveworkingout#selfcare#selflove
Going up?! Ok lets do this!!!
Everything thing is harder going up and everything is easier going down. Decline bench press is easier than incline. Running up incline is harder than running down the decline. Easier to spiral down mentally than rise above the circumstances. It might be hard and take more work to keep building the strength for going up but it is always more gratifying when you summit this mountain called life and live with a higher perspective. No matter how hard it is to get there you can do it! You can do anything you put your mind to. It takes time but when you don’t focus on the outcome or not being there and just live in the moment.... when you least expect it you will look around and think wow I am here! And what a beautiful view it is!
Update: I am 38 weeks pregnant and 7 days. Very soon we will be meeting our baby boy. My husband and I are anxious to meet our little prince. I have been blessed in having a easy pregnancy where I have felt good. Throughout my pregnancy I have tried to work out and stay in shape. I have hiked, worked out, coached volleyball, which honestly I have surprised myself a couple of times. I have been thinking about it a lot and I am determined to go natural if all goes well. That is why until this day I am still working out because I want to make sure I have the strength that I will need during my labor. When I go to the gym people look at me crazy and when I tell them how far along I am they say I should be at home, but only we know our own body. As long as I feel great I will keep working out to make sure I am ready for what is to come. This pregnancy I have gained 15 pounds so far and I can honestly say I feel AMAZING! 💛

100% !!! When I started trying to get back in shape about 5 months ago I didn’t realize the effect it would have on me. Everyday I crave to go work out and feel that happiness after an intense session. I can’t always go as I have 3 kids, a house to take care of and I homeschool my oldest. I think @f45_portcoquitlam has a lot to do with it as I LOVE their workouts, training and system. It makes working out so fun and enjoyable and such great results. No I don’t get paid to promote them but I just think they have an excellent system, and I’d suggest you try a F45 in your area. They usually give a week free to try out, and you will get in the best shape of your life. They combine cardio days, weight days and high intensity training, never doing the same routine. I never thought I’d love working out as much as I do now. Crazy how things you thought weren’t possible happen.
💯! No else can bring you success besides YOU!
If I miss a workout, eat something I shouldn’t, I hold myself accountable. Less then a year ago I wasn’t like this. I would eat whatever and we’d go out to eat at least once a week and drank pop when my husband had it. I barely drunk water at the time, and when I’d get on the scale I’d cry 😭 and wonder “what can I do?” Or say “I’ll stop drinking pop!” When t actually didn’t happen.
It’s easy for me to say that choosing the direction I’ve taken since January 2018, it has been life changing. Not only working out but timed nutrition, drinking some of the healthiest liquids besides water, but my mentality about life has changed.
I’m not only doing this for me, but my family, so I can live long enough to see my girls love their lives.
If I can do it, I know it’ll change your life too.
