Did you have a baby? Did your body change? Mine did, and after my first baby, I had pouches in all different places, and after a year, no matter how much I tried I was never consistent enough to see any change!! Plus I was so exhausted, I had kind of given up on myself ever feeling good in my skin again. Don't get me wrong, I was happy with how far I had come, but still had a ways to go. I saw a fellow mom posting about a fitness accountability group- ✨A post just like THIS✨. TRUTH!? I didn't think I could do it. I was exhausted. I was sleepwalking through life. I had no energy. I had a baby. I had no time. TURN YOUR 👉🏼I CANT INTO👉🏼 I CAN BUT I had nothing to lose so I gave it a shot, and within that first month I saw more change and saw the light shining through, urging me to keep going. So I did. And ended that 60 day group in a much better place! A place I never thought I could get back to, especially THAT fast. I signed up to coach right as that group ended because I needed a permanent place in a group and wanted to pay it forward!! Shortly after, my hubby surprised me with a vacation for my birthday. I remember it like it was yesterday. Literally, we were leaving for a beach vacation in less then 20 days!!!! I had absolutely no clue, no time to prepare. And I couldn't have been more grateful for this amazing gift! And I can tell you I would not have been happy to be in a bathing suit if I hadn't gave an accountability group a shot. I was more confident in that bathing suit those few days in November 2014 then I had been that ENTIRE SUMMER, I was happy and having a great time!! Huge smiles every day, just beyond grateful to be there to begin with and even more grateful to feel the way I did. Something I KNOW would have been different if I hadn't lost weight and toned up a bit and felt more confident, I would have covered up every day or wore my "I'm a mom" bathing suit.m and cover up... WHY AM I SHARING THIS? Because we all deserve to feel our best, and if this helped me, why can't it help you!? Double the tacos, double the fun 🌮🌮😛 . This is the first time in a while I’ve actually had tacos on a Tuesday, so I feel pretty accomplished rn. 😆 And these CHICKEN + BLACK BEAN TACOS were so flippin’ good, I might have to have them every day for the rest of the week. 🤷‍♀️ . WHAT WENT DOWN: • 2 @mikeys paleo tortillas, charred on the stove • smashed avo (under everything else) • sautéed diced chicken, seasoned with @justspices Chicken Seasoning and cooked in a pan sprayed with @chosenfoods • low-sodium organic black beans • shredded romaine lettuce • @jardinefoods street taco chipotle sauce (sooo tasty 🤤) • lightly dried cilantro . I used to be the girl who would commit to a fitness plan in about March in preparation for summer, and then just binge on ice cream, sugary alcoholic drinks, and fried food through June, July & August. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Which always led to feeling fabulous at the beach (NOT). . . It may be hot & I am certainly busy, but this is the only thing that keeps me energized to do what I need to do AND feeling comfortable in my summer clothes (95% of the time) ...never said I was perfect ☺️ So I’m staying the course through the summer. EVEN WHEN.. (tonight) I have a million things to do, and Ben doesn’t fall asleep easily for the first time in weeks, and my internet was malfunctioning in the garage 🙄 . . I’ll always have excuses. *Transformation Tuesday* Who knew all we needed in our lives was a wild Cheeky to get us in the best shape. 😂 Although we may not be on the same journey, or see eye to eye on our fitness approach, we find what works for each of us. And that’s what I urge everyone to do- find fitness that fits into your life, not the other way around. You see, I use to be a gym rat, we actually met in a gym, go figure right. He still is a daily gym goer. But for me, after 3 kids, and that third one is a pistol who doesn’t let me out of his sight; I had to make some changes in order to be consistent and get results. Because let’s face it organizing sitters and precooking meals to leave ready for the kids just to get to the gym one or two times a week, just ain’t gonna cut it. So here we are 3 years later, finding what works in whatever phase life presents. Because life is and will always be constantly changing. You have to find the time/ solution to incorporate who and what are important to you.

I came home that summer and determined what food I should and shouldn’t be eating. I determined what exercises were the most effective for me and my goals. I’m talking within a split second, before I even recognized what I was doing, type of reaction! THAT is how ingrained self criticism can be for some of us. A brutal habit that is so hard to break and something that takes SERIOUS effort each and every day. An all too common reaction, especially in women, and one that we don’t deserve. WHY? Because our bodies are powerful, amazing machines that grow humans, help us be a wife, mother, taxi cab driver, chef, housekeeper, cheerleader, counselor, and more to our families each and every day! And did I mention that our bodies look so different depending on time of day, time of month, stress level, body position, and more?!?! . So go ahead mean girl in my head! Be a jerk. But I WILL fight you with every fiber of my being. I WILL shut you down EVERY time you try to get to me. And I WILL make sure that you and your cruel friends stay away from my clients, myself, and all the beautiful women out there who are working hard to love the skin they’re in! 🙌🏻 . Holy unpacking madness. 🤯 ___________________ Y’all I’m super human, and I don’t mean like super human I mean I’m like very human. Human as in hella imperfections and learning (and sometimes taking multiple times) from my mistakes. _____________________ I don’t know what I was thinking training heavy back and biceps the day before moving into my new place. 🤦🏼‍♀️ smart move mandi. I didn’t get food prepped in advance either. So then I proceeded to eat nothing but pizza and donuts on repeat all day yesterday while i unpacked (really great for my stomach issues) ______________ Will it be my last time dropping that ball? Probably not. But it’s like swearing to “never drink that much again” then you forget about the awful hangover and say screw it ima dive in these shots. I’m human. ____________________ Instead of beating myself up, or starving myself all day today for overdoing it yesterday. I just upped my water in take today, really stayed in on my macros, remained active and destroyed my upper body. Don’t punish yourself for over indulging, the stress of it won’t help you anyways. It happened ok, move on. One day won’t ruin you. It’s when your one day becomes two days, a week, a month...that your binge is an issue. _________________ In general we all gotta spend more time forgiving ourselves for our slip ups and mistakes made. And most importantly not sit there and slow roast in disappointment. Keep your head up and muscle up buttercup. 💪🏼
With three kids I can’t throw them in to my double stroller and go for a run like I used to. When I only have time for a quick workout my jump rope does an excellent job of getting my heart rate up quickly! ❤️💪
We had one of those awesome mornings, ok, so after they drove me crazy THEN we had a great time at the @regalmovies $1 STORK movie! 🍿 . . I’m really going to miss these two when I head to Indy tomorrow for my coach summit BUT when I think about what has brought me on this journey it always circles back to them! . . I like being a mom who has a side business that brings in extra income without leaving the house. 🤳 . . I love showing my kids that drinking smoothies and breaking a sweat makes you healthy and strong, and they ask to join in! 💑 . . I ❤️ being able to carry them, swim with them, run with them and cook them quality meals (most of the time!) . . I love what coaching has done for all of us! Only, I have a totally different body composition and attitude! 💕 I would have considered myself active in this before photo. I tried to workout and eat healthy, although not very regularly. I was always looking for the quick fix, hated my body, and was constantly disappointed in myself. 🙇🏼‍♀️ 4 years later, I’ve been working out regularly doing the various BBG workouts, lifting weights, yoga, running, and anything else my heart desires and it’s been because I LOVE MY BODY, not because I hate it. 🧡 I’m the same weight I was when I started, which is crazy to me, having lived by the scale. But something about that first year and the BBG community finally clicked for me. I changed from constant disappointment in myself to being amazed at what I can do and achieve. Don’t let a 20 something year old intimidate you because their bodies haven’t been through what yours has at 45. Don’t let a 35 year old with a house, kids, marriage and successful career make you feel less than because she seems to have it “all”. Instead, at 20, be grateful for your youth and all you can learn from the 45 year old woman who’s body has experienced so much more life. Instead look at the 35 year old and ask how much work shes put in, the failures and wrong turns she’s taken to be where she is today. ❤️Admire the 65 year olds grey hair and beautiful wrinkles that tells her beautiful journey. Learn from one another, grow, be inspired and along the way inspire others. Young, old, and in between we can all learn and inspire one another. We so often would rather judge, put down or think “she must not have to work that hard, or she’s never had to deal with this”. I promise more than anything I have had self doubt, dealt with adult bullying, fought inner demons I created, had family issues, a body that’s been through 3 c sections, Been 271 lbs, failed, messed up, succeeded and failed again. I’m not perfect, not a perfect wife, nor mother, friend, daughter, sister or individual. But the only thing I can say, is I don’t give up. Everyday I wake I have another chance to be better, try harder and learn from whatever mistakes I made the day before. My body isn’t perfect. Lord knows I have flaws, but I can also tell a story to others to hopefully help them, inspire them, and let them know they aren’t alone. I promise at 29, I have so much more to learn, and at 29, I also have so much to share! I had to stop 🛑 and take a minute to reflect on where I’ve been, where I’m at, and where I’m going ⏩ I had a goal i wanted to reach by tomorrow, and i know anything is possible but i was really beating myself up for not being where i wanted to be. I am officially not stressing any more and allowing myself to relax and pack for my trip tomorrow. I celebrated 8 years of marriage to my super cute, some days pain in the butt hubby ;) with egg white pizza, turnip fries made in the air fryer, and a blueberry beer! What is your go to motivation? I often get asked what drives me to exercise alone. Do you fine it challenging to go to the gym by yourself? Is it easier to have your gym buddy with you? I love to have a partner. It isn’t always the case for me at this point of my life. Right now, my plate is full with doing what I love and that is to train and motivate others. Along with that are the responsibilities of parenting has taken up a lot more this year. Old school ab work today. With entire stomach drawn up and in, and torso wrapped to cinch the waist, these are safe and effective for those with #diastasisrecti . Make sure you’re using core to control the movement and just leading with the arms - don’t PULL with the arms. The weight does not need to be heavy! Add a little pause at the bottom of the movement and get an extra strong burn! Rehab is kinda awesome, but hurts. 😳 One of the first things I am learning to assess from @nasm_fitness CPT training is overhead squat form. Well let's just say I will be getting this answer right on the test, because it is exactly my problem. Lowered crossed body syndrome. problem- when I go into a overhead squat my chest stays in close proximity to my quads and my face is a direct line from my knees... . . solution- Using a @trxtraining to help me achieve full range of motion and @bforcebands to keep my knees in the same line. In this position I am able to get that pretty "chair sit" lift my toes, and brace my core. . . Craziest part is I never ever have used the right muscles in a squat and that is why I struggle loading weight and being able to build my legs up. Well I promise I will have the right doms, because I could feel every muscle contracting and releasing how they are designed to. Recovery I got you.

Everyday is a new chance. A new chance for change, a new chance to be 1% better than you were the day before, a new chance to have a completely new attitude. I took this on.. To be 1% better than I was the day before. Absolutely not easy, some days I struggle, I fall down but I get right back up because I am powerful, strong willed and mindful of my goals. One of my biggest goals was to fit into my summer clothes by the summer. I didn't give up, I pushed harder, fit in the extra exercise where I could, followed my meal plan and I stayed consistent. It’s been a full week close to NO fibro pain which is INSANE considering it has been ridiculously humid here in Minnesota, and I know my fellow fibro warriors have been struggling big time through this weather. Meanwhile, I feel SO fortunate to have just finished my second workout this week! – I truly love working out every day, and going through a year of my life where I could hardly move from bed was truly difficult for me. I’m SO excited to finally feel like I’m in control of my own body. I’m pretty sure anyone with chronic illness or pain can relate to that desire. I’m also SO excited to start sharing with you the specific steps that I’ve personally taken to get my body back to a level where I am not experiencing pain that impairs me from LIVING life and doing things I ENJOY!!
