I just got home from one of the loveliest and finest gastronomic experiences I had in a while. So good I was tempted to make another reservation on the spot. It also made me rather disappointed with myself 🤨 how could it possibly be that I have lived in Nice for nearly a decade, fully aware of its existence and reputation and yet tonight was the first time I ate at Chez Palmyre? First world problems I know 💁🏻♀️, but this gal here takes her food very seriously, and suffers from chronic yummy-foods-fomo! .
Basically imagine your granny’s cooking on steroids (if your granny can cook that is 😂), so all those comforting homely flavours intensified and elevated and you just feel the love in every bite! ✨😭🙌🏼 exactly!!
The 3 courses of pure bliss cost so little (for French riviera standards), you expect the waiter to come around to say that they mistyped the menu that day - 18 euros!!?!!
My choices tonight were: Artichoke cream with soft boiled egg and speck, Rabbit leg with mustard sauce, and tiramisu.
Those who haven’t been yet, I whole heartedly recommend this place. Book and reserve well in advance, they are busy.
