I don't know how I got so far behind on my photo blogging. Well, actually I do. There's just so much to do and see in Alaska (I'm thinking about moving there) that I didn't want to put the time into interneting. Lo siento.
So these are photos of the Western part of the Kenai peninsula (South of Anchorage) and Anchorage itself. Kenai Fjords is on the Eastern side so after that I drove West to Homer (because why not). Along the way I saw a beautiful scene from the road and decided to get a closer look, ending up in Kasilof River State Park where I saw gobs of bald eagles right by the ocean. Picture 1 is the only good shot I got. Hard to believe but that is really the only bald eagle shot I got the whole time I was in Alaska! #sadness
-photo 2 is a sign at the @twosistersbakeryalaska
in Homer (delightful place)
-photo 3 is my feet in the Kenai River which tends to have this beautiful blue color (and lots of salmon based on the 20+ guys fly fishing 2 feet from each other)
-photo 4 is a rock I found in Anchorage. This octopus only had 5 legs but they usually have 8 and there are 8 limbs of yoga. Coincidence...? On the back was an instruction to keep or hide so I kept a photo and hid the rock
-photo 5 is Pedals, the lovable King Charles spaniel owned by my Anchorage hosts, Mike & Kathleen
-photo 6: went to my first yoga class at a @anchorageyoga
and they put my name on the door! Then they made me sweat all of the fluid I had in my body out...
-photo 7 is an outdoor concert in DT Anchorage
-photo 8 are spotted shrimp heads and bodies, formerly just spotted shrimp. I watched 2 guys separate them at a party
-photo 9 obligatory #icecream
