Huge announcement regarding the Steel City Underground Film Festival this September:
We’re opening the fest with a screening of a 16mm print of.... wait for it... an extended version of the cursed video tape from The Ring. Yes, you read that right. We’re screening what might be the only print in existence, followed by a discussion about surreal and underground cinema, the mission and goal of our festival, the reason behind us screening all films on 16mm and the power of celluloid.
If this isn’t a reason for you to submit your film, then I don’t know what is. Only five more days are open for submission. You can submit officially through @filmfreeway
(filmfreeway.com), and get the chance to have your film screened on 16mm (a print will be made for each selected film), alongside prints of classics such as Nosferatu, Un Chien Andalou, A Trip to the Moon, and Tod Browning’s Freaks.
You might never be able to get a chance like this again.
The fest is taking place September 21-22 in Linz, Austria. See you there!
