So I watched Ant-Man and the Wasp today so I'mma talk about it.
Okay so Ant-Man and the Wasp is an Ant-Man sequel and is like umpteenth installment in the MCU. It's directed by Peyton Reed (who also did the first movie) and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lily as Hope Pym/Wasp, Micheal Douglas as Hank Pym and Laurence Fishburne as Bill Foster.
The movie in general is a good movie, but nothing great, instead, far from it.
The story of the movie was like I said, good but not great. It felt like any other cliche Marvel movie before Infinity War. The plot was monotonous and more on a personal note rather than save the world kinda thing.
The visuals were also good. The cinematography was OK and so was everything else.
Coming to the writing, I was afraid that this movie might end up having a shit ton of unnecessary and misplaced jokes like GOTG 2 or Thor: Ragnarok, luckily it didn't. It had misplaced humor at just one point in the movie, other than that, it was fine. I mean fine, not great, the jokes didn't always land, but the ones that did, did a pretty good job.
The acting was top notch though. All these guys did their best. Paul Rudd is a fucking national treasure man, he's amazing ! Evangeline Lily also did a great job and Micheal Douglas was great. Laurence Fishburne was fantastic too.
The villian in this movie was again OK. Nothing great and quite disappointing like most of the Marvel movies other than The Winter Soldier and Infinity War.
Overall guys, Ant-Man and the Wasp was a good movie, you'll have some fun, but go just for that, don't go expecting to be mind blown.
Also, DON'T STAY FOR THE SECOND POST-CREDITS SCENE ! It's not worth your time, it's the worst one ever. They fuckin showed it in the trailer man !!! Go home and just search for it on YouTube.
