🤦🏻♀️ (And super handy if you’re a culture whose economy circulates billions of dollars in drug sales to “treat” the sick fat people it is CREATING.) I’ve been a casualty of this broken “health culture.” Many times.
But I’ve also been on a healing journey! 🙌🏼 🖤The first milestone in my healing was counseling with a FANTASTIC therapist when I was in college. 🖤The second milestone in my healing was ACCEPTING my heavenly father’s love and salvation totally apart from my attempts to achieve whatever “ideal” I was striving for. 🖤The third milestone in my healing was supplements. Plant-based supplements that helped undo what my well-meaning but quite misled lifetime of dieting had done.... supplements that RE-CONNECTED me with the HEALTHY HUNGER SIGNALS my body was designed to have from birth. For the first time I could remember, I was off the insulin roller coaster and healing my gut... and happily eating normal-person portions of whole, nourishing foods because I wanted to! Because I was satisfied and full and not feeding a sugar-craving yeast beast in my gut. Not because a calorie tracking app told me to or because of what time it was on the clock.
For the first time since childhood, I was listening to my BODY and my body was finally able to talk to me the way it should have been able to all along! 🙌🏼

💥 HOW TO LOSE FAT? 💥
Most people are usually looking for a quick fix, some solution that will make them lose fat in a few days or weeks when they have years of bad habits behind them. They tend to focus on doing excessive cardio, doing detox diets, taking pills, etc. They go into it without understanding basics of fitness and nutrition, and often give up when they don’t see the progress. 😥
Instead of exhausting yourself with too much cardio and spending money on expensive pills, supplements, fit teas, etc., incorporate weight lifting into your routine. And most importantly, make sure that your nutrition is in check, because nutrition is what causes weight gain/loss. And by lifting weights, you are building muscle and will eventually achieve toned look if you follow your plans properly. 👍
You can incorporate cardio to burn some extra calories, of course, but it is not crucial. As for pills, fit teas, and similar; please don’t waste your money. They won’t help you. Also, don’t starve yourself because your body needs energy to function properly. 😴

Keto can work amazing for some when it comes to losing weight! It can also, be a great diet for someone who is super busy in my opinion.
Keto is a diet that is high in fat, low in carb, and moderate in protein. Essentially your body switches from burning glucose to burning ketones, which are the byproduct of burning fat for fuel. Now this isn’t an overnight switch, and it can take a long while until you’re fat adapted. Meaning your body is effective at burning fat for fuel.
Getting into ketosis can be rough, you will likely feel terrible when initially switching over. You can experience what is called the “keto flu.” Unfortunately for some it can take weeks, or months to become fully adapted.
Once you're adapted though the diet can work amazing! You will notice a more steady flow of energy. Largely because your insulin levels are stable, and there isn't that mid day crash. You won’t be as hungry and personally I love to pair keto with IF because of this (I think this combo is great for busy individuals too).
This is why keto can work amazing for fat loss, not because of magic, but because it can make the deficit much easier to adhere too. Hope this helps 👌🏻

HOW CUTTING OUT SUGAR WORKS FOR FAT LOSS
How many times have you heard someone say that they cut out sugar and lost weight? You may even have done it yourself.
Even though sugar isn’t inherently bad, if you’re currently overweight you could probably do with cutting down on your sugar intake for health reasons alone.
When it comes to fat loss, cutting out added sugars is useful because it reduces your calorie intake and passively creates a calorie deficit.
It just so happens that most of the calorie dense and highly processed foods are high in sugar and fa,t so it’s no surprise that by cutting out added sugars you end up losing weight.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with cutting sugar out if that’s something that works for you but I just want you to NOT fear sugar.
The problem with demonising a food is that it has the undesirable effect of causing you to want it more.
Studies on cravings show that when you completely restrict a type of food(s) the negative effect is craving for the banned food(s). .
And we all know what potential damage that can cause.
I hope this clarifies how sugar fits into your overall food and drink intake. .
If you want to lose weight then focus on nutrient dense foods and overall energy balance rather than on one individual thing.
