Just stepped through the door from getting home from the airport and immediately took stock of what I could make for dinner because I was getting hangry lol, had a banana and oats so I whipped up some pb banana oatcakes!! •Recipe deets•
1 large banana, 1/2 cup oats, 1 egg, cinnamon to preference (I did about 2 tsp)
Mash up banana and add rest of ingredients, cook on stove top about 2 minutes on each side, then add banana slices and drizzle with pb and honey!

Blueberry banana muffins. Adapted from @kosherinthekitch and healthified. Made half the flour whole wheat, didn’t have apple juice so I used apple sauce, used blueberries instead of chocolate chips. Me and the boys loved them!

Heyya! MAN! Today has been so freaking busy! I wouldn’t want it any other way, though! After my breakfast, I got ready and headed over to my friend’s house for her graduation party. Everyone LOVED the cupcakes and I was so, so happy. 🙌🏻 I was over there for a bit and then headed to my aunt’s house to help move and paint more of my cousin’s mural! It’s coming along slowly but surely! Oh! And I ate my lunch, too! I posted it on my story and in my highlight if you are interested! I’m feeling very happy and am feeling SO free without my Fitbit on. I don’t feel compelled to pace around every single hour to get 250 steps in. I don’t know how long my walk this morning was, but I know it made me happy and I loved it. I don’t know how many steps I am at or what the number of calories burned I may have, but there is something about it that is very... refreshing? I feel very weird in saying that, but I KNOW what I was doing was too much and I let that piece of plastic plastic dictate my entire day/mood. No more of that crap. ❌ As for now, I’m about to have a snack before I head home to get some foam-rolling done, dinner made, and journaling later on! Today has been the most restful rest day every. I can already tell my body is thanking me for it. 🙌🏻 Anyways, here is my little smoothie snack for the day! It is made of: 1 scoop of @nuzest_usa Clean Lean Vanilla Protein, 1/2 cup frozen raspberries, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 a Tbs. of mixed nut butter, almond milk, ice, and cinnamon! 👅💦🔥 Now that it’s so hot out, all I want are cold meals and snacks, so I’m going to honor that! I’m sleeping my best to hang in there and embrace the changes that have come with my nutrition, but I am SO ready to see what happens and how I feel! 👊🏻 I hope all you all have a great afternoon! Let’s talk about supporting a health gut 💪🏼🌈🤰🏼✨.
Recently since moving back to Australia I’ve been having to readapt to a very different lifestyle to the one I lived in Switzerland, although I still eat the same foods and do the same exercise, everything is (and just feels) slightly different on the other side of the world... I don’t know if it’s the water, produce/food, weather or maybe just the stress/emotional toll of completely flipping your life around, but I’ve definitely felt a bit gross in the tummy in the last week or so 👎🏻.
To combat this and help my body to adapt back into my Aussie lifestyle I’ve been making a huge effort to eat in a way that supports my gut health. Because real wellness comes from within and the gut (& gut biome) is so important and when off balance can effect almost every aspect of our lives 🙊 I will be writing a more in depth blog post on ‘Gut Health’ and how to help heal your gut this week, but in the meantime these are some foods that I’ve been enjoying that you should definitely looks into adding to your diet for optimal gut health...
• Coconut yogurt 🥥 Coyo is my favourite because there is zero added nasties! @coyo_is_coconuts .
• Sauerkraut 🌈.
• Bone Broth 💪🏼.
• Apple Cider Vinegar 🍎.

A perfect ‘gut heathy’ snack!
Baked Tomato - Peppers Chicken, Herbed Garlic - Lemony Butter Green Peas, and Tangy-Sweet Mango Salad. .
It's a sublime combination of flavors producing an equally sublime joy to cook without strenuous exertion or perspiration. In simple vernacular, I didn't have to break a sweat! 😄 .
The green peas were fresh and delightful; carefully cooking them ensuring to retain the emerald green is a bit daunting because these beauties have no patience to stay in shape. None of the recipes stayed true to its roots but happily succumbed, evolved and integrated to my creative flavor infusion. .
Slow baking of the chicken in the Dutch oven was an easy one pot meal that resulted in fork tender chicken. It literally melted in my mouth without any coersion effort by my mandible and its 32 pearlie partners in crime 😂
Most foods should not be meddled with because then it will loose its cultural identity. But then it's always fun to try new methods to create fusions and creative contemporary style, because it is a marriage of different food traditions. .
