HGUC Gouf LED #3
: LED working, top of head back on, then the back end... I read all sorts of stuff regarding resistors, that they're required. However I used (1) 2032 watch battery and from other Gunpla-ers' reports I've seen that current is low enough that a resistor isn't needed. So, not used.
The battery was put into a cheap 2-battery holder with on/off switch I got from Microcenter. I only used one compartment, stuffed the other with a foil-wrapped penny. I cut off the included connector and soldered on alligator clips.
I used a gum box which I painted (may go to a darker color in the future when I feel it's important enough to do so) and cut holes to run the leads from the Gouf through. alligator clips attach to wires, Gouf and switch secured with blue tack, and done. Good enough for my needs, can be used with other kits in the future. when not needed, wires can be tucked into calf. FYI, preshading can be seen faintly on the leg.
