Ordered some stuff from @bodylabsverige
a couple of weeks ago and have been using them since so I thought I'd do a little review 🙌🏽
First of all I ordered a box of protein bars. I ALWAYS try to order these types of things in bulk since it's wayyy cheaper and it's not like I'm going to keep them long enough for them to go bad or anything 😂👐🏽
They're the "go-coconuts" ones and the flavor is...you guess it, coconuts 🙌🏽 I really like them and I feel like they're perfect as a post workout snack. If I work out early in the morning, I usually eat one of these on my way to school and then I'm all good until it's lunch time 👌🏽
Ordered some vegan protein powder as well. Didn't have the best of luck last time I did that and ended up with a 2kg bag of protein powder that I really wasn't a fan of (another brand though) so I wanted to try a different one and let's just say that my faith in vegan protein powder has been somewhat restored 🙌🏽
Considering how poorly the last one dissolved in water, this one is a solid 8/10 and the flavor really isn't that bad, so I would for sure consider buying this one again 😋
....that moment you catch yourself in the mirror post-workout and you’re just like HOLY SHIT WHO’S THAT BUFF ASS CHICK?!? #itme
Results take time, and I don’t mean a few days or weeks. It takes small, consistent actions each and every day to see progress. Trust the journey, quit being afraid to push your limits, and don’t stop until you’re fucking proud. You, as much as anyone in this Universe, deserve your love and affection. 💕🍩 #Buddha #selflovesoldier #warriorwomen
to the time I bought lulus a size too small just because they were on sale ☠ to today where the size 4 not only fits perfectly, but I'm now smart enough to not buy clothes in the wrong size! 😂
⚠I could only find one old picture of them (that awful blurry boots shot if you swipe left!) They were SO tight and I was always afraid the seams would rip.⚠
💣I'm 10 lbs heavier, a size smaller, a ~helluva~ lot healthier, and I've found my true passion 💪 I know we love to focus on external changes BUT...
🌸I'm also an entirely different woman now thanks to the confidence, empowerment, positivity, commitment, compassion, perspective, and strength that powerlifting has gifted me🌸
Here we have the lesser spotted guntasaurus rex at the end of Thigh Day Thursday (yeah I just made that up 😂). I had every intention of videoing a bit of how a chubster does leg day after I had so many supportive and encouraging messages asking for the vids I suggested I might do just to show you that overweight doesn't mean lazy or incapable....but once I got to the gym, I just got in the zone and bashed it out. Soz and that! Another day. Here have a boomerang of my fake happy face because, SHAKEY LEGS! 🤗
Oh fyi I wish I'd listened to my osteopath over a year ago when he said to try neoprene knee sleeves for the intermittent knee ache I still get after badly breaking my leg 10 years ago. They're changing the squat game for me 100 fold! I look like a d**k but then I don't care anymore as I can now squat without pain, which has literally never happened 😎
😂 (legit gonna use that every week now 😂)

I had to wait to see if I could get permission to share a specific anecdote I wanted to add to this post (spoiler alert: sadly, I was asked not to for political reasons) so I’m a little behind the times.
Anyway - for International Women’s Day I was lucky enough to attend an amazing panel on women’s rights at the University of Auckland law school with human rights barrister Deborah Manning and the incomparable Chlöe Swarbrick, NZ’s youngest member of Parliament. I won’t go into too much detail on how empowering it was (or I’ll be here all day), but I just wanted to share some of the best quotes from the discussions:
“When you’re accustomed to privilege equality feels like oppression.”
“Definitely choose your battles, because not every battle is yours to fight.”
“If the system is broken... ...burn it down and start a new one.”
And best, and most importantly - “Be difficult.”
This one is my new life motto and I think it’s something every woman needs to keep in mind. In professional environments we are often criticised for having strong opinions and not quietly and politely acquiescing and staying inside the pre-made boxes designed for us. Women are socially conditioned to back down from conflict and not push too hard to achieve their goals and ambitions. One of the most common, demeaning, and damaging insults often directed at women is “difficult”. “Stop being so difficult” - i.e. stop pushing for your voice to be heard, stop trying to break that glass ceiling, stop pushing aside the men in your way, stop reaching for positions society doesn’t want you to have. Don’t let yourself be put down by this; embrace it, own it, use it. Come on women, join me, and LET’S BE DIFFICULT.

Last years art exhibition was in the paper... That's me she's quoting. Lol
This year will be even BETTER! More artists and phenomenal speakers and an AWESOME event location!
and I'll admit it's different. My usual way of numbing the feelings is gone (19 months clean Baby)
So I'm learning how to feel them and move on.

🏴 well i looked my demons in the eyes,
laid bare my chest, said
„do your best, destroy me, you see
i‘ve been to hell and back so many times
i must admit you kind of bore me“
