"If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and the cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:8-9 KJV
We are sinners. The flesh IS sin, and as long as we inhabit it sin will rule our flesh. When you believe the gospel and are reborn in Christ, God gives you a new spirit, a sinless spirit that will live in heaven eternally... but until we are separated from our flesh, we are sin. ONLY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST'S FINISHED WORK can justify you before God.

Matthew 25:14-15
_
““For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.”
_
In Matthew 25, Jesus provided a number of parables, one of which was the parable of talents. Talents were a type of Greek currency that valued 6,000 days worth of wages; in the context of the parable, talents represent gifts, opportunities, privileges and resources provided to us by God. When God entrusts us with His blessings, how do we respond? If we aren't careful, our inclination may be to keep it to ourselves.
_
The two servants who were given five and two talents respectively were able to double their share and pleased their Master upon his return. However, the servant with one talent actually buried what the Master had given him and then made excuses for his actions. As a result, the Master gave that one talent to the servant who had earned 10 talents and then sent the fruitless servant away to be punished (Matthew 25:20-28).
_
God invests in us so that we can use what He has given us to increase His kingdom. It doesn't matter how much or how little we are given, but it does matter what we do with it; we are expected to produce godly fruit. When we don't properly utilize what God has given us or we hide it away, we are fruitless and have nothing to offer -- this is not the way we want to meet our Master upon His return. Let us instead dedicate ourselves to using what we have received to cultivate and produce a bountiful harvest for His Kingdom.

God’s plan for us is greater than any plan we could possibly imagine. He knows our deepest desires, He knows you better than you know yourself. Above all He is a loving Father. It’s terrifying to trust Him and lose control, but that is when we gain all we’ve ever sought.
