FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY!
Friday is finally here and we can’t wait to see all of you in just TWO MORE DAYS!! We are so expectant to be in the presence of God and learn more about Him!
We’ll see you on SUNDAY!
Tomorrow, June 23 is #InternationalWidowsDay
Widows are some of the most vulnerable people in the countries where Harvest Bridge works. They are also some of the strongest people. Maryam* in India, who is in her early 70s, took over her husband’s ministry when he passed away three years ago. It has been a difficult journey for her, but your support allows us to come alongside her, both to care for her and to stand with her in ministry. Out of her grief, she has been able to help and encourage many other women and widows.
In Maryam’s words: “God is helping me in every aspect of my life, especially in this critical situation of my husband’s death. This is my humble desire and vision, that even in this situation I want to become a great godly example for women and for many families and be faithful in this hard situation until the last moment of my life… I do house visitations and hold women’s prayer fellowship. In the last six months I have conducted three gospel outreaches in three different villages. Approximately 30 people attended each outreach… There are no other coworkers or helpers in my ministry, but I am serving the Lord with my grown children with one mind… In the next six months, we are planning to reach two or more other villages with the outreach ministry, and go door to door with the Gospel. And we are planning to start one women’s fellowship in a new area… I am doing the ministry in a remote village, and mostly non-Christian women are coming. There are a lot of ups and downs, and many times I am feeling much discouragement by the situation around me. But the word of God is giving me strength to go forward with more enthusiasm, power, and courage.” Your gift Where Needed Most helps us to meet Maryam’s needs, and others who are loving God and loving others in unique and difficult situations. // 📸: @katetherese.r #HarvestBridge #LoveDoes #WomenInspiringWomen
I thought I would share some random facts about my husband and me for #fridayintroductions
just to get to know us a little better!
I’m Sarah and this is my amazing husband Ryan. We've been married almost 14 years (July 4 is our anniversary), have two girls, and here are some random facts about us.
I'm an extrovert, he's an introvert. I'm type A, he's type C-. I'm a college dropout, he has his PhD in Mechanical Engineering. I always say that he's earned enough degrees to share at least one with me.
We only dated a few weeks before getting engaged. We were married three months later. Don't tell my kids, I'm afraid they'll use it against us someday. •
If someone were to film a reality show of our life together, they'd struggle to find anything worth airing. Our family life is so incredibly laid back, and we truly are content just being together.
We've watched the Office more times than I can count. Whenever I'm too jazzed at bedtime, he just puts the Office on and I'm out like a light within 10 minutes.
He's 6 1/2 years older than me, and I love teasing him about how old he is. •
We named our daughters after TV characters. Anya from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Nadia from Alias. Again, please don't tell my children...
I've always called him my anchor. It started out as a joke, but then it became one of my favorite things about him. When the storms of life come, I can trust him to keep me safe in harbor, to keep me from getting battered by the waves, to protect me from everything that threatens to destroy me.
So that's just a little bit about us. I'd love to hear about your significant other, and some of your quirkiest couple facts!

Keep prayer as the first response to any situations that makes you feel anxious or fearful ☀️ #praymore #pushwell
What if it's not about fear or lack of courage? What might look and even feel like procrastination or lack of courage may actually be waiting for that nudge to move forward. .
You know that nudge. The one that you didn't wait for before and found you were ahead of your time. Or when you felt the nudge but DIDN'T act and then wish you had. .
Waiting for the nudge is how intuition is developed. It takes patience, trust and self-control to wait. And because I want to live according to my design, it takes prayer. Waiting is not passive. It doesn't have to be cowardly. Sometimes it's the bravest thing to do. .
Initially, I hesitated to go to summer camp and volunteer but I’m so glad that I did! The people, the music, and the worship was out of this world.
Thanks for including me, Passion City!

I’m not trying to say all days are roses and sunshine. But we can make a choice to make today the best day possible!!
Well friends, it’s been quite the week! In fact, it seemed like I was in high school track and field again, hurdling all of these obstacles that kept arising, attempting to keep me away from a Christian conference I had been wanting to go to since January.
This is simply affirmation to me that God is up to something BIG. If the enemy has tried this hard to get me away from hearing @bethmoorelpm
speak, that must mean that I’m going in the right direction.
The enemy doesn’t simply sit back and watch you grow in your faith without doing his best to distract or veer you from the path you are on.
“If destruction fails to entangle us, distraction will do its best.”
Now, here’s to hoping I actually make it to the conference tonight! 😅

Stay strong in who you are and how you run things in your life.
Do you ever read scripture that you've read countless times before and the magnitude of what God is saying hits you?!? And I'm not talking about a friendly punch in the arm. It's more like a Mike Tyson one punch total knock out type of hit?!? Well that just happened to me with this verse.
Most versions of this verse use "hope in your word," but if you look at the original wording in Hebrew, it's better translated as WAIT, TARRY, BE PATIENT. So we are not just called to seek refuge in the Lord, figuratively, but to park ourselves in His Word. To wait there for Him!
I sometimes forget that the Word is an extension of the Lord. It's not just to-do or don't-do lists, it is the voice of the Lord speaking DIRECTLY to me and to you!
When we are physically or emotionally in uncertain, uncomfortable, painful, or frightening times are we reflecting on His Word? Are we drawing strength from what we have learned through the Word? Do scriptures of comfort come to mind?
Is our first response to seek His Word or to call a friend to vent or share the experience on social media?
If it's not the first then we may be starving the Spirit living in us. Do we daily take a portion from the Bread of Life and the Living Water? If not, how can we expect respite during trying times?
God's love is unconditional, but if we don't know who He is or what His love looks like, how will we be able to see it?

Never really been one who’s into painted art, but this really touches me deeply. I was just thinking to myself that I need to be more intentional with the time I spend with God, as nothing else can come without it. Thank you so much for the reminder ❤️

And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. ~ Colossians 2:6-7 NLT
Like the roots of a tree, we may have to push past hard, mucky, and dark places to establish a deeply rooted life in Christ. But like a tree deeply and firmly rooted we WILL be able to remain standing, when storms intended to knock us down and uproot our faith come our way, if we remain steadfast in establishing a deeply rooted life.
Lord, cause us to be deeply and firmly rooted in Jesus!
In times such as these, I think that’s all we can do ❤️ @allforhimart
Have a GREAT one EVERYONE❤️! Love, ChristianCowgirl67
I woke up this morning forty-six years old🎉🎂😊!! As I walked from the bedroom to the kitchen this globe 🌎 greeted me 😍. I had told Gus weeks ago, with the trip to TGCW18 and all, that I didn't want any gifts for my birthday, the conference was plenty and I felt so grateful I could attend it this year. But I had, for months, looked at globes always leaving them at the store because I found them too expensive and our tiny apt, well, tiny.
So I was tickled when I saw this on our tiny dining room table with the sweet note. As a third culture kid and an immigrant, I adore geography in a special way. I also love the Bible says the earth is like a stool on which He rests His feet. That heavenly perspective does my heart so much good!
Found the perfect spot for it, although I suspect it'll be out and about near my writing desk (all 30 inches of it 🤔😂), or near the couch for when we're watching Jeopardy 😉. Yesterday was my last day being 45. I'm starting the next trip around the sun with a world that fits between my two hands. Kind of how God holds our world, days, and lives between His. So grateful!
Thank you sweetie for speaking my language ❤️😊🌎😙!
May His kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, through us.
I know personally I start to become really impatient in the waiting, hoping for things to happen sooner, believing that it will, but getting anxious about the process. It’s easy for me to pray about things and trust that God will bring it into fruition in His timing, but it’s the “timing” aspect that sometimes is frustrating for me. But I’ve become a lot better and just being still and knowing the journey is necessary for change. Which one is hardest for you?
Around the world, hundreds of people work every day to find creative solutions to the ecological and social crises facing our planet. They do so through large and small actions. These actions, however, often arise, grow and die out in total isolation. "Together we can do much more", this is one of the slogans proposed by Prophetic Economy, an initiative whose objective is to create networks of collaboration involving all those who, in their own context, work for human development, regardless of their age, nationality and beliefs.
Changemakers aged 9-99 from all over the world will meet in Castel Gandolfo, Rome (Italy) on November 2-4, 2018.
Head over to our website to find out more, and don't miss this historic opportunity to make an impact!

Today’s Bible study reading is Proverbs 30 & 31. Ahh the Proverbs 31 woman ♥ She is inspiring, right? Something else hit me this morning though: 1. she is Solomon’s dream woman, and 2. she does not exist.
If you are new to our study, we are reading through the Bible chronologically this year using the @youversion
app. A couple of days ago, we read Solomon’s thoughts in Ecclesiastes how life is meaningless (he’s so dramatic!). From his point of view, he had everything: great wisdom and riches, but life without knowing God had no purpose. Here is where I raise my hand in agreement. Amen!
Then yesterday, we read a little more history in 1 Kings and 2 Chronicles. Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. Yikes. That’s a lot of women. Flipping the page to Proverbs 31 and reading this line: “Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land” made me think he was speaking of himself and writing about what his perfect partner would be like.
While he was taking care of his own business, he had confidence that she was taking care of hers. She did not rely on his riches alone, she had her own passions and used her own skills to work too. She loved God, was a mother, a wife, an entrepreneur, and he praised her for it. In many ways, she is a lot like me and in many other ways, nothing like me.
She is an inspiration, yes, but the greater picture is God created YOU and has directed your story. His call above all else is to love and our goal is to use our own unique gifts and talents to do good. Brave, messy, and laughing without fear of the future because we trust in our Provider and remain present in Him.
What are your thoughts on this, friends? I’m so curious (geeking out on the Bible over here!). Thank you for sharing your insight with me!
We’re starting a new series this Sunday and we’re so excited!!! 🕺🏻💃🏽😁 The speaking baton is being passed to Jeremy for this series and we can’t wait to see what’s in store! Join us on Sunday at 10:30! 🙌
A full week of watching this guy in his element. I am so proud of the man he is. His grace in leading those around him. His care and intention in everything he does. I’m proud of you, Steve. I love walking and singing through life with you. Singing with you in the crowd, of course. We all know it’s best I stick to my spreadsheets 🤓
'These worldly, idolised things don’t matter, what really matters is what is in our hearts, how God sees us.' •

How will you be spending your weekend? 🤗
Have you ever wanted something RIGHT NOW? Well in this day and age, there’s probably an app to get it for you in under an hour.
In our modern age of instant gratification, we tend to believe God’s work in our life will follow suit, that everything should happen quickly. But as the body of Christ, the church is called to something deeper: #faithfulness
. God does not call his church to solve problems quickly, but to obey him faithfully. .
This Sunday, join us as we discover what it means to commit to the slow, good work of God in a culture of speed and productivity. [PT 3 of The Perfect Church Series]
