Become obsessed with the process and not the results. When I fell in love with my workout program, wanting to sweat, and discovered food that was ACTUALLY healthy so I can eat massive quantities of it, the physical gains naturally came. I think that’s the true unlock to happiness. Instead of focusing on the outcome, fall in love with details of what you’re doing day-to-day. That’s when you win. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀

He asked me, "What's your favorite position?" I said, "CEO." - @laurenconrad
You are the CEO of your life. Learn to own the life you live. The capacity to learn is a gift. The ability to learn is a skill. Sharpen that skill. The willingness to learn is a choice. Don’t confuse being busy with being productive either. Go do epic shit. Step outside your comfort zone. Throw society’s bullshit timelines & expectations of a “normal” life out the window. Own yours. At the end of the day you’re the one that determines your happiness. Be productive, be kind, surround yourself with a quality tribe, and make a difference. It’s your life, BOSS, hire, fire, & promote accordingly. #girlbossrules

I. Love. This. Fucking. Song. 💪🏼🤘🏼
You know what I also love? My classmates. They're the best ever. There's never a dull moment, there's always laughter, they're always there to help. This morning I rowed for the first time in 2.5 years (swipe), and it wasn't easy. If it wasn't for this morning's workout partner over there, I may not have gotten through it lol. Also, after watching the video back, I see how horrible my rowing actually is. Next time, Mr. Rowing Machine. It's me and you. I got you. 😎
Clearly, I also worked on some pulling exercises this morning. I WILL develop that upper body strength and conquer the pull up. It's gonna happen. I can already tell a difference, but what I'm REALLY gonna have to teach myself is patience. It takes time and dedication to develop skill. I'll get there. Patience, grasshopper. Patience.
Anyway, enough rambling. Happy Thursday!

5 myths about females and lifting!
You’re going to get too big.
Take a look around the gym at the men training. I can guarantee that at least 90% of their goals is to get bigger.
How many actually are? Very few.
Lifting weights isn’t going to make you bulky. It’ll help you build muscle, get stronger, be more confident and learn more about your body. Most of all? You’ll have fun lifting weights.
You can’t lift when your pregnant.
Yes you can. You just need to be more aware of what you are doing and work around pregnancy similar to how you should work around injury.
You need cardio to lose weight.
You don’t. End of. Gone are the days of females spending hours and hours on xtrainer & treadmill. More females are understanding and learning about programming training & nutrition correctly to achieve their goals!
If you enjoy cardio however, keep doing it. Cardio = Calories burnt = Can result in cutting body fat.
It’s about using the right tools at the right time!
Men and Women should train differently 🤔
Rubbish. Barring injury, females can do exactly the same, if not more than males.
Women don’t ego lift, meaning they learn to connect with the weights much better.
Women may be the the weaker sex when it comes to numbers, but they excel when it comes to volume, endurance and better coordination meaning they’ll pick up new movements much quicker.
Want to lose weight? Eat less.
Technically this will work, but, there are much better (and more maintainable) ways to cut body fat.
Tightening up calories, increasing training intensity and increasing frequency can also help shed body fat.
There are a lot of clients who do under eat and when they start onto a calorie plan, find themselves eating more than they have been but still lose weight.
I do get clients to weigh in, however, how they look is just as important. At the end of the day, the majority of us train to look better naked. The mirror is a great pointer to progress.
Wishing a H A P P Y 🎊 B I R T H D A Y to one of my favorite patients turned friend @marthanugent
! It’s been almost a year since Ms. Martha showed up at @theaspenclinic
as a new patient. She sat in my nutrition class + decided that day that she was ready to make a change. Over the last year, I’ve met with her (almost) every single Monday for weigh-ins, individual counseling, goal setting, + meal planning. She is in the process of completing her FOURTH @fitbook
+ I couldn’t be more proud of her dedication. But if I’m completely honest, our weekly session is just as much therapeutic for me as it is for her because she is a certified life coach + reiki master. She can read my energy + always knows just what to say to improve my mood. She just opened her own business + for the 1st time in years she has decided to make herself a priority. I can’t wait to watch her reach her goal weight this year 🙌🏼 We all love you so much Ms. Martha + I give you permission to have a cheat meal today! 🎂🥂
Make the decision to work out.
Even when you don't feel like it; no matter what tries to get in the way.
Love these, trying the peanut butter ones today.Yesterday i was so angry that when i came home i worked out for the first time in forever, and did better than the last time i did.The last 3 reps of everything hurt,as they should..but it made me feel so much better not just because of endorphins but also because i thought my arms got bigger from fat.Now i’m thinking i gained muscle and the fat is just still there.New goal: have some muscle definition by my 23rd birthday that’s happening in 6 months

Lean Bulk Training and Nutrition Update💥
My current macros are 530 carbs |140 protein |80 fat 👊🏻2x a week I do a “high carb” day a eat 540+ carbs. I am steadily gaining weight at these macros which is my goal for this lean bulk! I an planning on continuing to bulk for the next few months put on more mass and muscle maturity and cut for my first show by the end of this year!
As far as my training goes I have cut down from lifting 6x a week to 5 days now because I was not recovering from my workouts and it was inhibiting my strength and muscle growth! I have two weeks left in my current power-building program before going into a mini dload and retesting my maxes🤘🏼I am currently not doing any cardio but I do believe that cardio is important!
To be honest with you guys I have been feeling a little down on myself the last week or so. I have been feeling very bloated from work stress coupled with my high food intake. I have also been pushing myself very hard and my body has been feeling a little rundown and I haven’t been feeling the strongest in the gym! I am off the next two days and I’m really going to take time to relax and catch up on some needed rest so I feel back strong next week!
I just wanna let you know that everybody’s body is different. Just because these macros and training program work for me doesn’t mean you should follow these for yourself! I have built my metabolism up of the last two years to these macros and also my training volume! If you guys ever have any questions about training or nutrition feel free to DM me or comment below☺️
