The Caffeine within coffee stimulates excitatory neurotransmitters by antagonizing adenosine receptors throughout the nervous system. This leads to improved reasoning, attention, memory, energy and concentration levels. There has been found to be a dose-response relationship between coffee intake and decreased risk of parkinsons disease. This is thought to be as a result of coffees rich supply of antioxidants promoting the expression of enzymes that mitigate the neurodegenerative effects of free radicals. The effects on the development of cancer remain controversial and needs further investigation. Both positive and negative assosications between coffee consumption and cancer risk have been described for most types of cancer. Moderate daily caffeine intake has been shown to decrease the risk of alzheimers disease. Caffeine may reduce expression of genes such as presenilin-1 which is important the formulation of the amyloid plaques that charecterise this disease. Overall there is seen to be a slight benefit to drinking coffee, however further research is needed for this to be conclusive. Didn’t have a clue what I was doing, improper form, barely able to do 3 reps in a row on the small bar lmao. 🤦🏼♀️
But today I managed 40kg & my form is a lot better👯♀️ .
5 x 10 reps without band (5 sec hold between each rep)
5 x 10 reps with band 🌸
Obvs I still have pretty much no idea what I’m doing but progress is progress 😅
