Get your bathing suit ready and join us on Saturday, March 24th at Jacob Riis Park in Rockaway, Queens as we participate in “Another Great Reason to Be Freezin”. Cheer with us as participants plunge, or if you are daring enough, plunge as well! Our mobile branch will be onsite giving out goodies. Registration begins at 10 am and the plunge is at 12 pm.
Our 4th and final Polar Plunge took place in Dauphin yesterday. Big thank you to Michelle Meadows and the Parkland region for making it a great day for all! ❄🌊 That's a wrap on the plunges this year, but we'll be back next year. Are you brave enough to be #freezinforareason
In just 10 short days... on March 24th, I have committed to TAKING THE PLUNGE and will be jumping (more like speed walking) into the freezing cold water of Canandaigua Lake to raise money (and my heart rate) to support millions of Special Olympic athletes. The cold that I will feel is temporary... the positive impact that this will have on the lives of thousands of citizens with intellectual disabilities, will last a lifetime. I have set up a personal fundraising goal of $500 and I truly need your help to reach it (before I get cold feet)! Any amount would be appreciated- together let’s lift up and celebrate every champion with a dream of taking the field. #polarplunge2018 #freezinforareason
Thank you to everyone who was a part of the #FreezinForAReason
