I am convinced that Bar Taco has the BEST margarita in Nashville, though I am willing to be convinced otherwise. I order mine with half the usual amount of agave.
Salmon. Ramp cream, fiddlehead fern, English peas.
Avocado. Sour orange, pickled red onion, scallion ash. This avocado dish was mind blowing and I’ve dreaming about more since I had it.
Shrimp Ceviche. Chayote, cucumber, fresno, red onion, cilantro. Served with plantain chips.

Yes, it's Sunday and I'm here again. People wonder why I always go to @theoldschoolnashville.
I must not go out anywhere else. Truth is, I go to dozens of other places. But no matter where I go it always feels like coming home when I'm here. That feeling hasn't been duplicated anywhere else.
Absolutely fabulous dinner at Cork & Cow in Franklin tonight. Great atmosphere, perfectly cooked steak, and delicious cocktails.

One of the great things about relocating again after 9 years is the way if forces me out of my comfort zone. It’s like literally being shoved out of my cozy little cat fur covered nest 😹 due to the real need to create new connections and make new friends. So far it’s been good for my #ambivert

At Husk, there are rules about what can go on the plate. “If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door,” says Brock. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food.

This Escolar “The Great White” will abso-freaking-lutely be snagging a spot on my “Best bites of 2018” round up at the end of the year. It’s sushi rice wrapped in escolar, topped off with a potato chip for crunch and a shaved truffle for rich added depth.
