I’ve decided (after following the amazing @drmonavand ) to do food combining alongside my vegan diet. I’m a total beginner to this so I’m sure I’ll make tonnes of mistakes, but I’m determined to be the healthiest I can be. I have roughly 3 stone of unhealthy weight to lose. I can’t obviously stick to this 24/7 as I dine out a lot (I’m at a yoga event today where there is food) but I can 80% of the time! Dullluuu banget teman-teman sering meributkan keputihan eh kepucatan rambut saya. "Semir tuh rambut. Ga asyik ah diliatnya. Masih muda kok udah ubanan." [Masa itu saya sangat produktif menulis fiksi. Selain koran Kompas Minggu, cerpen-cerpen saya sering dimuat di koran Bisnis Indonesia Minggu. Bahkan "cerpen hore" saya sangat banyak dimuat di majalah cerpen yang populer jaman itu, terutama Aneka Yess. Saking produktifnya, saya pakai beberapa nama samaran, yang saya sendiri sekarang justru sudah lupa apa saja. Hehehe.] . Sekarang, memiliki rambut putih justru menjadi kebahagiaan. Setidaknya sebagai lansia 60 tahun, saya merasa sedang dalam masa pertumbuhan, yakni masa ... tumbuh uban. Kakakakakkkk. . . Apa pun keadaan rambut saya, saya bersyukur diberi anugerah kesehatan dan kebahagiaan berlimpah oleh-Nya. Paling tidak, ketika reuni dengan teman-teman sekolah, saya bukan yang paling buncit, saya bukan yang sudah dituntun-tuntun ketika foto bareng di panggung, saya bukan yang rajin mengeluh sakit asam urat - pusing hipertensi - selalu haus karena diabet dll. . Makanya, saya merasa begitu tersanjung [sampai berseri-seri pula!] ketika para sahabat sehat saya di Pasar Sehat Batam, terutama Koh Along Gidion Sim, menjuluki saya "Engkong Rasa Brondong", duhhh GR saya selangit ketujuh dah. Throwing back to some delish toast, eggies and avo 😍 . Okay, so I’ve mentioned something on My Story about “Food Combining” 🌿 What does that even mean? 🤷‍♀️ . Easily said: in today’s world, we have all sorts of factors that contribute to bad digestion. Stress, antibiotics in food, pasteurization, processing of food, etc. This leads to low nutrient absorption. . What are we going to do to fix this? By “Food Combining”, you can facilitate the digestive process in order to help food break down easier and actually to be used for energy. . So what goes with what? 1. Fruit needs to be eaten alone - preferably in the morning on an empty stomach. The reason: fruit needs to be emptied out of your stomach first so that it doesn’t ferment in your stomach 🙊 fruit is good mixed with some leafy greens. . 2. Proteins should be paired with non-starchy veggies Protein (meat, fish, poultry, eggs and dairy) triggers the stomach to secrete hydrochloric acid and pepsin. This increases the acidity in the stomach. . 3. Grains and starchy veg pair well together. When you eat starches, your stomach releases an enzyme called ptyalin. This created an alkaline environment. (The exact opposite when eating protein) Starchy veg include butternut, squash, beans, corn, peas, potatoes and sweet potatoes. . 4. Fats and oils can be paired with either protein or starch. . 5. Beans and lentils are more difficult to digest so they fall in the starch category. . 6. Neutral foods can be paired with starch and veg: lettuce, cabbage, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, carrot, beetroot, onion, celery, cucumber, zucchini, bell peppers, ginger, garlic. . Meal ideas to follow soon . . *Disclaimer* I’ve only done some research on this. I am taking this week to test it out on my body. Remember everyone works different- what works for me might not work for you. I don’t even know how this is going to go 😂 . I was 80 kg before fasting during ramadhan i took less carb intake but still eat lil amount rice n sugar...i started 6 days ago...no rice substitute carb with lots of vegies...no sugar...i cheated 2 days during Hari Raya... but i still loss it... I scaled my body weight today is 76.6 kg. Low carb intake and no sugar, I loss 2 kilo in 6th day... i take high protein, fiber, and fat in my menu..today is my 6th day...i continue drink susu protein in my menu... i do hope more kilo to loss . . It’s watermelon season and I have been enjoying tons of them! Just remember to follow the rules for food combination. Eat your melons 🍉 🍉- that is watermelons, melons and papaya- alone. Never combine them. They digest really fast and if they are combined with other foods that digest slowly their sugars get stuck in the stomach resulting in fermentation of the undigested sugar which then yields alcohol! 😵 A disfrutar la temporada de melones! 🍉🍉Solo recuerda combinar adecuadamente tus alimentos. 🚨 Emergency Gut Travel Kit 🚨 This miracle combination is my savior from travel indigestion. You might already know that you have more bacteria in your gut than human cells. But did you know when you travel...they, well, know? They wanna know 🤨 🗺 Where are we? And why?! The confusion is enough to make them go on strike. And mine do. By refusing to make things move 🚽. Enter ground flaxseed, my absolute favorite superfood. It’s very high in dietary fiber, a source of omega 3 fatty acids, and it’s a rich source of anti-inflammatory lignans. Really though, it’s all about the fiber - ground flaxseed contains high levels of mucilage gum content, a gel-forming fiber that is water-soluble and therefore moves through the gastrointestinal tract undigested. Flax provides all that fiber but it’s still low in carbohydrates, meaning it’s fantastic for those on a keto or grain free diet. A year from now you will wish you had started your journey today. . Introducing my all-purpose curry coconut beef sauce😋😋. . What I love most about this sauce is that my veggies still remained crunchy. Yum yum. . This is a meal-prep idea for the week where-by the sauce can be eaten with brown rice, potatoes, pasta, noodles, zoodles, beans, veggies & on salads. . If you were to make just one choice, which will it be from the above☝️??? Let me hear your choice in the comment section below👇 . Deets 👇 Soft Beef meat + green beans, 🥕 + 🥦 + coconut milk + onions + coconut oil + curry + thyme, fresh garlic + garlic powder + seasoning cube . 🔸to prepare 🔸wash beef, & cut the beef into smaller pieces 🔸place a pan on the cooker, add the oil, add beef slices, garlic powder + curry + thyme + seasoning cube. Let it fry till beef stock/water starts popping out . 🔸keep frying till the water almost gets dry. 🔸add sliced garlic + onions and stir fry for 2 mins, then add all the veggies except 🥦 🔸stir fry for 5 mins then add the coconut milk in the pan, stir & let it simmer in. 🔸after 2mins, add 2 cups of water and close the pan. Let to simmer for another 7mins. Add the 🥦 🔸check if the taste is ok, if not adjust according to your taste bud. 🔸the sauce it ready when you see a-bit of thickness. Enjoy and serve with your healthy option😁 . P.S. you don’t need to let the sauce thicken up before it’s ready, keep in mind when the sauce cools down, it becomes thicker.

Lalu, apa yang terjadi? Saat pasien berhenti mengonsumsi obat, pada awalnya pasien akan menderita karena ada hal-hal yang tidak baik yang muncul. Namun, seiring berkurang konsumsi obat, tubuh dapat memulihkan stamina sehingga kembali terlihat segar bugar. Ah, apa maksudnya? . Hal ini tidak hanya terjadi pada satu orang. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada semua orang. Saat itu, saya merasa malu karena selama ini belum benar-benar memahami tubuh manusia sehingga masih saja memberikan obat-obatan kepada pasien yang datang. Dahulu, untuk menambah jumlah pasien yang berkunjung, saya hanya mendengarkan saja keluhan dari setiap pasien yang datang dan memberikan jawaban yang sama dan berulang seperti menghafal kertas jawaban yang sudah disusun sebelumnya, kemudian memberi mereka obat dan mengatakan bahwa pasien yang memiliki hipertensi dan diabetes harus minum obat seumur hidup. . .
