stash is growing! We bought a gorgeous little set of @bambinomio
solo nappies this week as I am super happy with the whole #reusablenappies
thing. For those of you that are interested, (I am no expert, very much a newbie), we decided to go with all-in-ones mainly because the twins hate having nappies put on them at the moment and I need something that would be quick to throw on before they wriggle away from me. We started with @totsbots
easyfitstar, which I love, it's a company based out of Scotland and all their nappies are made in the UK. Their nappies are great and I especially like that the soft inner fabric is made from natural fibres (bamboo). We use cloth nappies in the day (not at night yet), the poop thing is gross but I've gotten used to it. The main difference I found to disposables (other than dealing with poo) is that you need to change them a little more often (if the girls are in them longer than 2 hours they tend to leak). I do a separate wash for the nappies at least once every 2 days on a long 60deg wash with non-bio soap powder (I found the eco-egg didn't really clean them?) And the weather has been so great- I've been drying them on the line.
I absolutely recommend any mum's thinking to make the switch to give it a go! It's more effort than disposables but it's so worth it (and the nappies are so beautiful too ❤️) I'm still waiting to hear back from my council (they give families £30 for every £50 spent on reusable nappies per child), so definitely check with your council to see if they do similar incentive schemes.
Let me know if you have any tips for me (especially re: overnight cloth nappy wearing) or any questions and I'll do my best to answer 😋
Ok that's me! ...Over and out!
