i was listening to 4 minutes by Madonna when i was taking these pics cause that’s how long i had before Brock would wonder what i was doing in the bathroom for so long 😂😬
only one week left in cut !! super close to my goal which makes me happy.
so next week pretty sure i’m gunna intuitive eat for three or four weeks then see where i’m at and how i feel. just having fun w summer, food and life
also i’ll be posting more tips about food/macros in my captions so if you’re trying to fix your eating habits or just wanna read some info look out !
I can't even lie. Though it was my very first national show, initially, this past weekend still left a very bad taste in my mouth. Had me thinking I'm not good enough. That I never could be good enough. That maybe I shouldn't spend any more money on shows. Luckily, I have incredible people in my life, who support me and believe in me. People who are there to pick me up when I start feeling sorry for myself.
Through conversations with those people, I've realized this isn't the time to cave in. This is the time to work.. to apply pressure. So, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to continue working and I'm going to improve the things I need to improve. I'll take a few weeks off from being crazy strict, then I'll start prep for North Americans in August. Win, lose, or draw, that'll be my last show for 2018. Hopefully, the season ends with some good news. I'm still on the hunt.

Will improve your technique, strength & stamina and compliment everything you do.....having a strong core is VITAL for power, agility, injury prevention and most importantly for me SPEED.
As a sprinter I train my core a lot for drive and acceleration, but it’s something that I work a lot on with my Athlete clients. You cannot hide from a weak core no matter what it will show through small “leaks” and I will find it..these small leaks will knock time off your run, slower your Kadence, make you more vulnerable in a tackle or throw a weaker punch. .
Try these exercises that I do every week both myself and with my clients they can be done anywhere and require little to no equipment.
🤸♂️Seated Twists x 40 reps * toes in the air
* knees at 45 degrees
* keep knees as neutral as possible
* sit back to 45 degrees don’t be too uptight or too far back
* interlace fingers & place over belly button they must stay there
*pop the elbows up as wide as you can
* imagine a hook in your chest being pulled and it’s pulling you upright
*keep tongue on roof of your mouth, chin tucked
*Rotate each elbow down
🤸♂️Maintain the same position then do the following;
* Use 1.25kg plates
- Double arm flys with single leg crunch
- Double arm fly with double leg crunch
- Single arm flys
- Single arm lowers ... super slow and controlled to shoulder height reach arms up as high as possible
- side planks with rotation

Let’s talk fat loss vs weight loss.. we’ve all heard a friend, a loved one, a stranger say “I need to lose weight.” I was guilty of it myself.. when I first started this journey, my goal was to “lose weight.” I thought I needed hours of intense cardio..
Fast forward to the part where I fall in love with fitness and learn that I can look and feel 10x better BUT STILL WEIGH THE SAME OR MORE!?!? This is what I mean.. I actually weigh 2lbs more than when I started out 8 months ago - I lost fat NOT weight.

Part 2 of my Hockey mobility/movement prep series. You’ll notice some repeats here but it’s all a part of my general warm up so I included them. Most of the stuff here is done 2-3 sets of 12-15 reps or until i feel good. It’s pretty subjective.
1️⃣/2️⃣were featured in one of my past hip health videos you can check out. While there’s not a ton of active hip flexion in hockey, ive had great benefit doing this as a way to mitigate hip pinching
3️⃣Supported deep squat rocks. These have the same concept as some other moves, improving my bodies ability to tolerate those deep hip flexion positions. The side to side weight shift increases load through the joint, but being supported/holding on increases your ability to perform the motion.
4️⃣Similar to the seared hip IR in my last vid, and adding on to ⬆️, getting my body desensitized to FADIR, but now while weight bearing (kind of)
5️⃣Nothing fancy, just getting some more exercise stuff and increasing muscle firing with a lateral lunge. I like throwing in the oppo side rotation bc it increases the stretch through my other limbs hip adductors. -
6️⃣Stanky Leg combines all the aforementioned principles. It’s also a higher level task with some hip disassociation.
7️⃣Dont crush a dog

This past weekend, I went to the Koreatown nightmarket. Upon arrival, I immediately saw tater tots with kalbi (beef ribs) & kimchi on them. I tried to walk around, but the thought of those tots kept pulling me back. TBH, I have a hard time not eating everything in sight when near Korean food. It’s so delicious, that I can’t eat it without having scheduled time after to lay around and digest. I have zero self-control when it comes to kalbi, bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, chigae, japchae, gochujang, galbitang, manduguk, kimchi, samgyeopsal...the list goes on. So, if you want to set a trap for me, just lay out some Korean food as bait. I’ll come running like Usain Bolt going for the gold.🥇🥘🏃🏼♂️ @ktownnightmarket
