I had some questions yesterday about the weights I was using for the #bmbarbellchallenge they are only 2kg as the maximum I can lift is 3-4kg. This is because of my FAI. The weight needs to be low impact but still effective. I deleted the timehop app over a year ago because I was sick of seeing pictures like this pop up. This is the girl that had the habit I'm trying to get back. I was in grad school at the time, spending 2 hours a day at the gym, eating clean and single. -- -- It's been a hard pill to swallow, realizing that dating, moving in and getting married/ all that has changed my habits and what I do with my free time. I didn't think that I would marry someone that hates the gym, but I did. He hates the gym, loves beer and has a major sweet tooth. -- -- But being active on instagram, having this fitness account has made me so hyperfocused on #asthetics that I stopped focusing on my health. Everyone wants a great #transformation picture because they get more likes, and women are out here doing extreme unhealthy things to get #skinny instead of healthy. This weekend was a great reminder of how freaking cool my company is and how amazing our bodies can be when we push ourselves. I was able to push myself to run 30.4 miles in the woods overnight with 11 other people on my team and roughly 150 other crazy people from EF. We became fast friends and helped motivate and challenge each other even during those tough hours at 2 and 3 in the morning. Thankful for my #worstpacescenario teammates and everyone else who made this an awesome experience! Special shoutout to @aaron_pomerance who I basically chased in the darkness for 7 hours - definitely could not have hit my goal without you! 🏃
◽️Unfortunately from losing so much weight, I lost a lot of it in my #booty 🍑. My glutes are definitely lacking right now. My main goal for the upcoming weeks is to tighten and get it perking up. Although I have a lot of work to do, it’s important to stay confident, I love the way I look, but there’s ALWAYS room for improvements 💪🏽. ◽️ I’ve been using Prototype 8 from @ATPSCIENCE for help with growth and firming!! It induces a site-specific vasodilation and pump as well as thermogenic activity, greater recovery and assists in the delivery of nutrients to the target muscle group to aid in and induce protein synthesis more effectively for growth. It also smells delicious 😍! ✖️HITTING THE RESET BUTTON✖️ - Life is full of adventures, full of ups and downs, full of set backs, but also full of opportunities. - Time to be real now.. - Talking about set backs the last few weeks I have had a few. - With being a growing business entrepreneur comes a lot of times of growth, but with the growth also comes a little thing we all deal with called STRESS. - After having 3 weeks of amazing growth as a trainer at equinox, also came lots of challenges with trying to figure scheduling out, to writing new programs for each specific person, studying for the course I am currently taking through equinox. Finding time to train yourself or meal prep becomes even more difficult. - Along side during this time my family visited me, although it seemed as that time should have felt great and happy, which don’t get me wrong I loved every second spent with them. But what they didn’t see is how stressed out I was, to the most point I’ve been in years. Trying to figure out how to balance the new work overload, trying to figure things out to do with them on my breaks, to trying to stay social media active. All of it completely got me knocked down. Which carried over into last week, continuing to fall off my diet and training routine, allowing myself to gain 10lbs of unnecessary fat. Started questioning some decisions I’ve made, for the first time I actually felt homesick, started thinking about people of the past, just completely stuck in a rut. - Then somehow I woke up Saturday morning completely rested for the first time in week, had a great day at work, crushed an amazing deadlift day, I finally feel like me again! - Woke up today feeling even better, crushed another great workout with great friends. - So with the new found energy, determination, and ready Mindest tomorrow I will be announcing two new things I will be taking on! - We all fall into ruts and setbacks, but it’s all about how you come out and bounce back. - I can’t help but have the biggest smile on my face as I sit here on Venice beach writing this out, enjoying the most beautiful scenery I have the pleasure to call home. I’m pumped knowing what is about to take place over the next few week.
