Throw back to when I was 12 weeks pregnant in the gorgeous @rarotonga , training the locals then absorbing the gorgeous sunrises like this one here 😍😍😍 If you didn’t know, my dad is Cook Island 🏝 Before I lived on the Gold Coast I lived on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean called Rarotonga 🥥🥥🥥😂 There was about 12000 locals and if you walked around the perimeter of the island it’d take you the day (it’s about 32km). 🌞 While the GC is now my home, and I doubt I’ll ever leave. Visiting home just fills my heart and I fall deeper in love with the place each time ✨The serenity, calmness and focus on food and people instead of egos, money and success is so refreshing. I highly recommend you take a holiday in the middle of nowhere 😍 It’s like stepping out of this world and being able to just be you without any stress, bills or responsibilities. Which lead to me developing an negative relationship with food, becoming bulimic. I gained 35 kilos in 8 months. Binge eating and bringing it up is something I was in denial about, not realising what I was doing was dangerous to my health. I would eat two footlong subs and wonder why I was gaining weight. In December 2015, I got asked if I was pregnant, after that I decided to make a change and began going to the gym and eating better. In total I have lost 40 per cent of my body weight. Try these Starfish Crunches for an amazing Lower AB and side of the waist workout 🔥🔥🔥 Start out with your arms and legs stretched out in an “X” position. Bring one arm straight up and diagonally across your body while lifting the opposing leg. Finish the starfish crunch by lightly touching your shin or just try to come as close as your level of flexibility will allow. Alternate back and forth with each repetition. The rectus abdominus, external oblique, internal oblique and the transverse abdominus are the primary muscles targeted with the starfish crunch exercise. The secondary muscles also targeted as a result of performing this exercise include the hip flexors and the anterior deltoids. While the majority of the work is performed by the primary core muscles for the starfish crunch exercise, the secondary muscles act as assisters thereby helping to complete the exercise efficiently. As with all exercises, especially those involving spinal flexion and trunk rotation (crunches, oblique crunches), breathing plays a major role in safely executing this exercise. With the starfish crunch, both spinal flexion and trunk rotation occur simultaneously. This can be considered as two exercises combined and performed together to derive maximum benefit for the core muscles.

Been practicing the bulgarian split squat recently, and I must say, this is a pretty difficult exercise to do BUT if you do them, you really feel your quads working even with just light weights. Definitely now one of my go to exercises during leg day! Try it out, but start with no weights just to get the form right. No-one should feel guilty for eating food they like🙅 . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Thanks to many people in the industry pushing the all or nothing approach onto their followers a lot of people don't realise that you can enjoy a big meal out or a takeaway or whatever you want WITHOUT having to feel guilty about it!😱 . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I've simplified my top 3 methods for eating out and still losing fat in the hopes this helps someone enjoy a huge pizza and feel good about it!🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [I've implemented method 1 all week and I'm going to eat fill my face with whatever I feel like today😍] ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Happy Sunday💕 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
CARDIO🤔 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'll be the first to admit that I used to HATE cardio. I'd dread the hour (if that) I'd do each week during my bulk and even during the start of this cut😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now I love it. Genuinely🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm enjoying cardio so much! I hit my (at least) 10k steps a day, and I'll do at least 45 minutes of cardio on the days I work out and at least an hour on my rest days. (My personal preference is to do this much as it's what I want to do). . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know so many people dread it these days because it seems like the cool thing is to hate it because weights are no.1 but honestly a mixture of both is ideal for overall health. 🏋 + 🏃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔥BENEFITS OF CARDIOVASCULAR EXERCISE INCLUDE: . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ❤IMPROVED HEART HEALTH: Your heart is a muscle just like all the rest and it needs to be worked. . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⬆INCREASED METABOLISM: An increased metabolism will mean it will be easier to maintain your weight, or losing weight if that is the case. . 😄IMPROVED HORMONAL PROFILE: Cardio release all those "feel good" hormones that make you feel great afterwards. The hormones can help with stress-relief, easing symptoms of depression and  fatigue as well as releasing other hormones that decrease appetite. . 💪IMPROVED RECOVERY ABILITY: If you lift heavy then some low intensity cardio session can help to remove some of the by-product that was released during a lifting session, which may be contributing to DOMS (which no-one likes). Cardio will also bring more oxygen rich blood to the muscle tissue thus helping the muscle to repair and rebuild faster. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . ✔GREAT TOOL FOR FAT LOSS: A calorie deficit is what causes fat loss BUT this can be achieved through diet and/or cardio. A mixture of both is ideal. Some people prefer to do a little bit extra cardio than sacrifice extra calories... I know I do🥞
GYM INTIMIDATION🙈 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🤤The gym can be a daunting place if you're new to it. The weight room can be super intimidating and sometimes it can feel like everybody's eyes are on you👀 . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I get it😔 . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I remember starting the gym and constantly feeling like I was doing everything wrong and that everybody was watching me and laughing🙃 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🔹I remember taking waaaay too long to finally step foot in the weight room... but once I did I realised I should have done it sooner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⬇TOP TIPS⬇ . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ✒PLAN IN ADVANCE- If you already know what you have to do when you get to the gym then you can just go for it! I always have my workouts planned out so I know exactly what I need to be doing when I get there. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎧MUSIC- Music helps A LOT. I can't train without earphones and loud music. Not only does it psych me up but I can't hear anybody and I'm able to focus on my lifts and workout fully. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 💭FOCUS ON YOU- I know it might feel like everybody is watching you, but trust me, they're not. Even the biggest guy in the gym or that girl with the amazing abs get self-consious too. Everybody is waaaay to busy dealing with themselves to notice what you're doing. So focus on yourself and tune everybody else out. This is your time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🎩HATS/HOODS- Some gyms may not allow this but if you're struggling to block every body out (and if it's ok to do so in your gym) then wear a baseball cap, or throw your hood up. Blocking things out may help you focus more. . ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 👭TRAINING PARTNER- Having a training partner can make the gym a lot less intimidating. Not only will you have a friendly face but you'll have encouragement and support though your workout. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🙌ENJOY IT- Enjoying that bit of time you spend in the gym is key to making it something you'll stick to long-term. If you go to the gym hating it then reality is that you won't stick to it very long. Change your workout, try a new cardio routine or stick to what know you're good at.
