Feeling so tired today and really wanted some comfort food when I got in from work so I’m having Linda McCartney chorizo sausages & rice again!
Slightly changed the way I made it this time by adding just a small amount of tomato purée and a load of frozen veg this time.....so so easy to make and I made a batch for lunch tomorrow too #happydays

Yesterday I hit 1000 miles for the year so far. To put this into perspective I ran 1196 miles in all of 2017, so this is a big jump for me. And remarkably, I don’t feel like I’m overtraining- I’ve PBed in every distance this year, and I feel stronger than ever. I still have a long old way to go, but these little baby steps and milestones are a comforting reminder that I’m on the right path. One of my latest IG posts was my before and after picture. One of my friends - (she won’t mind me saying this 😀 ), Jen commented “ I don’t wether your posts make me inspired or seriously depressed.”
This got me thinking 🤔 I put my posts out to purely to inspire and help others. But do you sometimes find yourself wishing you could get in shape like the person on IG or had a life as fascinating and care free as theirs? It can take stabs at your self esteem. You doubt yourself. .
It may seem as if these people have it all, but they don't. Instagram is not real life.
I know how to get myself into shape, as that’s what I specialise in. I get others in shape as I’ve studied it for years and share that knowledge with them.
However there are many other areas of my life that fall flat on my face in comparison!
My car is a walk in wardrobe
I have lose skin after having a baby
I suffered from an eating disorder for over 10 years .
We want to present our best self, I get it. Sometimes people don’t want to post about their problems, or eating issues Just because it's not being showcased and talked about, doesn't mean it's not happening.
So just remember, that girl you look at on social media...
fights with her best friend too.
cries about stupid and insignificant things, too.
eats too much food then spends days beating herself up about it
feels insecure about her body, too.
Their online self is not the same as their everyday self. Learn the difference. Find the disconnect. Discover your true self.
